BassResource.com, the recognized leader in bass fishing websites, announced today that award-winning writer Don Barone has joined forces with them, and will be providing his unique perspective on the outdoors in his new weekly column, “Inside the Outdoors”. Known for his thought provoking and often humorous perspectives, Barone will be writing about the great outdoors and the sport of fishing.

Barone has covered every major league sport that everybody in this country has ever watched - NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and more. And now he’s stepping outdoors to bring the outdoors, indoors.

“I remember the first time I drank the rain, had leaves crunch under my feet, watched a bird fly in the sky for as long as I wanted to, and not just while it passed a window.” Said Barone, “I am not an outdoor guy, but every time I walk out there, the 3 year old in me still feels the magic. That’s what I want to convey in my new column.”

"We’re delighted to have Don on board with us. Many of his stories will leave a tear in your eye and many more will have you rolling on the floor in laughter," said Glenn May, founder of BassResource.com. “He’s a terrific addition to our team.”

Said Barone, “I think that once you reach the level of readership that BassResource has, you have to become a good citizen of the planet, the best of the media step up to this responsibility.

The thing that got me on board, was not the number of unique hits, was not the photo they have of me allegedly lurking near a women's bathroom, but the fact we are on the same wavelength.

I believe the best way to protect the planet, is to be of the planet.  Once you love the outdoors, you will save it.  You will treasure it, and you will bring your children with you out there.

The planet, our planet, will be saved by our children.

And when I discovered that the goal of BassResource.com is to get more children outside and fishing, I knew I had to sign up for the ride.”

Barone's first piece is already live on BassResource.com at https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/dummy-gestalt.html.
