I have a 3 PQ spinning reels and really like them. 2 of them are used by my dad mostly and one is my live bait crappy/bass rig. I use BPS fluoro on 4-5 reels and like it a lot. Its not as soft and supple as my InvizX but it seems to have less stretch and handles just fine on spinning gear.

PQ is a very good reel. When at the store picking out my next bait casting reel, I held and examined quite a few, and the PQ just feels well built and smooth. It also is known to be one of the better if not the best value for its price reel that BPS carries. I recommend it.

awesome guys thanks. i have a buddy who uses pqs and said theyre awesome. i just wanted to see what everyone else thought. ive always been curious about the xps fluoro and see its on sale. i was thinkin about gettin an 800yd spool of 14# for football jigs.

thumbs up on both

used red label before, got kinks from backlashes and it would break on the spool...I got a kink in the xps and it just smoothed back out where I thought it would break also

PQ, great reel, if the spool tension button clicked..I would moonwalk down the block from joy

lol awesome, thanks diggy. ive always been curious about both. im a lews and sunline user but figured hey, why not at least check out a pq and some xps fluoro since theyre both on sale right now. i figured if theyre good enough for edwin evers to use on the elite series tour as well as in the classic, they must hold their own just fine.

awesome, thank you very much for your input. im heading to bps this weekend and plan on spendin some cash on the pq and fluor as well as some baits i cant find around my area. what do you think of the bps rods? ive never used a bps product and just love tryin stuff because who knows, it might surprise me and i might stick with it.

I own 4 BPS rods right now and really like them. They are very sensitive and light weight. They have plenty of backbone but aren't too stiff to be used for multiple lures. Plus if you have any issues within a year they will replace it no questions asked.

that sounds amazing. ive definantly gotta check one out. im lookin at the carbonlite, looks awesome and from what ive read in reviews, theyre great rods. lookin to get a dedicated football jig combo.

Been using 17 lb XPS for a cpl yrs now on all my baitcasters, won't use anything else. However, tried some 10 lb on a spinning reel last yr and didn't like it so much. Could have very well been my own doing as I may have spooled it on the wrong way being a spinning gear rookie last yr.

I've owned a bps Rick Clunn reel for 7 yrs now and it is still treating me very well to this day. So when it came time to get a new setup for c-rig and jig this yr, I opted for the pq and a morris signature rod. Also bought a pq spinning reel since I was in the market. BPS makes a quality product for a fraction of the price of some of the high priced mfgs out there, you won't be disappointed with either of the 2 choices.

thats great to know. im on a tight budget and need the best quality gear at the best price i can find. so far its been lews and powell. im really lookin forward to checkin out the bps stuff.

For the guy on a budget, or just somebody who wants to be a little frugal, both of those products are a fantastic bargain. I used PQs for a long while before upgrading to other reels. I still use XPS fluoro. For the cash you're spending on it, it's darn hard to beat. Keep your eyes out for sale on the XPS fluoro. Frequently you can get it discounted, or a buy two get one free deal.

awesome. yea its on sale right now. i love sunline but im always trying different products. im gonna get some 14lb test this weekend as well as a bunch of other stuff. ive got my list ready lol

I just played with mine for about an hour in the yard. I carried it to work this morning and douched the spool bearings and used Starrett spray lube.

I started with three brakes and the mag on five. As I started casting harder, I was getting a few overruns and ended up with all six brakes on and the mag on three. This gave good distance and no overruns.

I wish I would have tried it right out of the box to see how it was. This reel reminds me of my Citica E, real smooth and a bargin when on sale for $80.
