BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 30, 2012 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 30, 2012 Who's going fishing this weekend? Where? Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted March 30, 2012 Super User Posted March 30, 2012 C&R Bass Season doesn't open up until April 28th. Today's weather included about 1" of snow/sleet/slush. Weekend's forecast is for cold beer and warm house. 90% chance of a shopping trip to North Star on Saturday! 2 Quote
Edgy Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Im finally on spring break. Gonna be fishing all week Quote
Super User tomustang Posted March 30, 2012 Super User Posted March 30, 2012 Nothing but rain this weekend Quote
B@ssCrzy Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Will probably hit the local pond, but next week the boat gets to see it's first action!!! Can't wait, but hoping the forcasted cold front does not come true!! Quote
WookieeJedi Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I went yesterday, got rained on and found the fish firmly locked into a post-spawn pattern. That can be miserable on my lake, so this weekend I'm doing my honey-dos and working on the Jeep. Next week is looking pretty good if the warm weather persists. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 30, 2012 Global Moderator Posted March 30, 2012 Taking the wife to local lake to see if the bass finally broke loose after this week of 70 and 80 degree weather. They were biting last week but just not like I expected for them to be with 63 degree water. Taking my old man fishing Monday at the same lake we killed them at last Monday. He's turning 51 Saturday and said all he wanted for his birthday was for me to put him on some fish. Hopefully I can make his birthday wish come true with a big walleye or smallmouth Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 My weekend just ended. It rained without stopping, the temp was 40 degrees and we had winds over 20-25. My home lake is just now hitting 50 degrees. Ask me about next week Glenn ? Clear Lake. Can't wait. BTW my club just fished a tourny closer to you and not one fish was weighed in for 15 boats. That about says it all. Quote
Mountain Angler Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Im fishing staurday all day and maybe all night. At Burnsville Lake. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 31, 2012 Super User Posted March 31, 2012 We're suppose to be getting rain, wind and some snow tomorrow! Guess I'll wait until Sunday! Quote
tbirds00 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I would be going on the mississippi but my boat is getting fixed still. Quote
matt l. Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Going to the lake just down the street. Went yesterday but got nothing. It's supposed to be 90 tomorrow and I hear frogs so maybe I'll bust out a few top water lures. Quote
POPRG Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I'll be out on monday, but now that its spring, there calling for snow showers/rain the next 2 days!! figures after the warmest winter on record! Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 31, 2012 Super User Posted March 31, 2012 I'm currently home for a day, then off to T-Rock. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted March 31, 2012 Super User Posted March 31, 2012 No hard water here this winter so I've fished every day this year (less 3 days I was out of town) - nothing special about the weekend! Quote
scrutch Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Can't go. I'm on vacation in Vegas, rented a red 2012 Camaro SS convertible and driving from Vegas to grand canyon on route 66. I'll fish plenty in a couple weeks! Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted March 31, 2012 Super User Posted March 31, 2012 Why wouldn't I be fishing, I live in sunny, hot as heck S.Florida. I'm debating on fishing a tourny on lake Okeechobee Sunday or fish a private 100 acre rock pit. Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 31, 2012 Super User Posted March 31, 2012 One of the joys of retirement is I rarely fish weekends 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 31, 2012 Global Moderator Posted March 31, 2012 One of the joys of retirement is I rarely fish weekends I love having Mondays off. We were tearing them up last Monday and sharing a 7,000 acre lake with about 10 other boats. I still got cut off fishing down one bank though Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted March 31, 2012 Super User Posted March 31, 2012 Snuck out for a couple hours yesterday... now it's snowing again! Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted April 1, 2012 Super User Posted April 1, 2012 Me and a good friend went Friday and It was less than mediocre. lol We're heading out again In the morning with high expectations on me and my buddies home lake, Lake Rhodhiss. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 1, 2012 Super User Posted April 1, 2012 Went out pond hopping yesterday. I hit two ponds in 5-1/2 hours. Caught a dink in each pond. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 spent last weekend at smith mountain lake. got skunked as far as bass, had a couple follows and thats it, was fishing from a dock. atleast the channels and flatheads were biting at times. got into a school of white perch for awhile early in the evening that saturday, which is usually a good sign for me for catfishing that night, then that thought got ruined when a thunderstorm ripped through and dropped golfball sized hail. though the hail stopped the storm pretty much lingered the rest of the night. Super User 00 mod Posted April 2, 2012 Super User Posted April 2, 2012 Fished Friday at Horseshoe lake in Arkansas from 2:30- dark:30. Nothing to speak of. Then went to my club lake in Arkansas today from dark:30- 2:30 with a total of 21 bass between the 2 of us biggest was around 3.5. Jeff Quote
