i have a 9 1/2ft basshunter (green, 2 man boat) and a minn kota endura 50lb thrust motor. question being, why on my motor is reverse forward and forward reverse. ive tried it on the front and back of the boat and same thing. any help is greatly appreciated.

forget to mention that ive checked the wiring and its all hooked up correctly but still does what it does.

So, when it's on the transom (rear of the boat), and you put in Forward, with the throttle knob pointed toward the bow (front) of the boat, the boat moves in reverse?

The pointy end of the motor is forward. If the the motor is on forward the pointy end should lead the way. If you have it on front of your boat you may need to rotate the head so the tiller it pointing towards the back and the propeller is point the same way. With the motor on the back the tiller should be pointing forward and the prop towards the back.

Not to sound nasty but I have never heard of this occurring.

I think Paul was correct in telling you to adjust the trolling motor's head or arrow to point in the direction you wanted it to go.

Glad it is now fixed.
