Super User bigbill Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 It looks like most are out of this new lure already??? I have 4 on order... Bill Quote
endless Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 If works well it will be paying $11.99 for the Live Target. Give us a feedback on the lure when you get the chance to use it!! 1 Quote
Teh Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I've had a chance to use this lure. It walks very easily for me, and looks great. I didnt catch anything with it, as I used it back in January, but I think it has a ton of potential when the conditions are right. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 Who's most? Every Walmart I go into has like 100 of them Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 Hot new lure this year would have to be the A-Rig!!!!!!!!! 2 Quote
kLuo Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Seems strange to make a frog with exposed treble hooks. I usually would not opt to throw a frog lure while in open water, but I guess under certain conditions it could be useful... Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Who's most? Every Walmart I go into has like 100 of them Yep exactly where i got mine. I like it cause its a shorter profile than other walk the dog bait like a spook, or sammy.. Not sure if it actually looking like a frog has any benefit as far as catchability goes, but does look cool in the water. Quote

The frog-r and the Koppers walking frog are different and more like a sammy or spook. I think it would be very effective since it is a different profile in a walking bait, the frog-r from rebel is something I may try as it looks to have a smaller profile with a good weight, I could see this getting inhaled much easier and more oftem than a spook, I think it is more of a numbers bait but still any fish on topwater is welcomed! The Guy Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I've caught a few on it. It has a nice tight walking action. 1 Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 29, 2012 Super User Posted March 29, 2012 I believe after this season gets fully underway, the Jika Rig (or Owner's Jig Rig) will take off. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted March 29, 2012 Author Super User Posted March 29, 2012 In the past I walk my shallow crankbaits alot with success with the hooks hanging down. Over submerged weeds and pausing over the deeper pockets is where i've had lots of success. The presentations are limitless. I also have one main tacklebox for my weedless stuff too. Since the bass are going to be a tad sluggish in the northeast withy the weather patterns constantly changing from hotter mild weather to cold weather again its going to take sometime so the bass will motivate from the mud to maybe getting ready to spawn. I think it just maybe a slow year but i hope not as the weather wrams up. I will test the rebel frog R up against my BPS topnocker, bomber FAT A and my rebel BIG Claw crawfish cranks. The Frog R will be up against a tough successful crowd. But i have one monster bass at one spot that already ate a few of my topnockers and left with them. Thats the only problem i see fishing from shore over the weeds. She took my lure down so fast I tried for 15 minutes to move her but she is a monster in size. I did see her mouth when she striked it. No one fishes these smaller places correctly for the bigger bass. Quote
robdob Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I believe after this season gets fully underway, the Jika Rig (or Owner's Jig Rig) will take off. people have been putting bell sinkers on the front of ewg hooks for years now for punching it just doesn't get talked about much Quote

Even the lure manufacturer is out of certain colors on this lure. Quote

I deal with the same, but still almost everywhere I go provides assistants, walmart does provide carts Glad to know there's another on the forums in a similar situation Quote
Primus Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 It's Pradco's rip-off of the Moreau frog, not an original idea but like the Senko copies it will catch fish. Quote
