Globadoc Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I have a reel of PowerPro 30# that is fading a bit, but otherwise still seems sound. When it fades, it is still somewhat green, but the whitest parts are still darker than Nanofil. So, why do we get rid of faded braid line (but still fish lines in translucent orange, red, white, green, moss brown, etc.)? Has anyone really noticed a difference in their results? Quote
endless Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 When mine fades especially out frogging the rest I might add a leader if not I use a marker. 1 Quote

You beat me too it.When it fades use the marker like Endless said. I would worry more about it when it frays but not when it does fade. Quote
Super User Marty Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 So, why do we get rid of faded braid line Not everyone does. I don't. My Power Pro goes from dark green to light and I do nothing, as I have never noticed any change in the line's properties. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 29, 2012 Super User Posted March 29, 2012 Fading only means it has lost it's color, still fishes fine, no reason to do anything, all my green braid is faded out. Quote
