buzzfrog Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 what is the reason for coffin bills, I live in NC, and i was reading an article about it is a big N-S carolina thing, the boys are using down here. I hear about square bills all the time but not them. also Dicks has put out alot fo jackell baits for sell, the have alot of pumpkin craws,, just wondering if anyone used them for trailers or flipping, i usally see Jackell and they are pretty high.. thanks yall Quote
quanjig Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 the satusaki (sp) craws are a nice flipping bait. Pretty bulky for a trailer, believe me I tried! Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 28, 2012 Super User Posted March 28, 2012 Coffin bills are usually found on flatsided baits, and right now is a great time to use them. I have a wonderful crankbait that I use all summer, I call it my finesse square bill, it is a Rapala DT flat 3, it doesn't wobble, it shimmys and you'd be surprised how many times I fished an area using the DT Fat 3 without a strike and then go back through using the flat 3 and end up catch 3 or 4 nice fish. The other thing is they are great around wood as the deflection quality is outstanding. Quote
