Kenneth Lee Owen Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Does anyone know how the tequila sunrise colored plastics do? I picked up a pack of 6" lizards because they caught my eye. I know that bass strike a lot of natural colored baits and these tend to resemble the color of salamanders in my area. I haven't had any strikes yet but I've only used them a few times and only a few casts. Anyone had any luck with this particular color? Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 26, 2012 Super User Posted March 26, 2012 Highly productive, often overlooked Quote
SAC2 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 have had decent luck with them, ive got em with silver flake in them (senko type bait) i like to throw them when the water is a little off colored around wood Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 26, 2012 Super User Posted March 26, 2012 Love that color lizard. Back years ago, tequila sunrise power lizard was my go to soft plastic. Quote
Vinny Chase Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Something about a 7" tequila sunrise yum ribbontail with a pegged 3/8 oz tungsten weight in the rain that never disappoints. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted March 26, 2012 Super User Posted March 26, 2012 I remember using that color when I was a kid for worms. Almost forgot about that color since I use alot of watermelon combos for my lizards. Might have to dig and see if I still have some around. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 26, 2012 Super User Posted March 26, 2012 It is a very good color! I have it in my worms also, ribbontails. Quote
Rangerphil Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 When I started bass fishing that color in the bass pro shop worm was deadly! May have to break some out this year! Quote
Stasher1 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 One of my favorite colors to throw in off-colored waters. I generally keep a few bags of tequila sunrise plastics and jigs in the box, just in case. Quote
TourPT Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 This one pond I use to fish, that color in plastics and rattle traps was killer on cloudy rainy days. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted March 26, 2012 Super User Posted March 26, 2012 Highly productive, often overlooked X2! Something about a 7" tequila sunrise yum ribbontail with a pegged 3/8 oz tungsten weight in the rain that never disappoints. I like the Berkley powerworm as well.... Quote
Christian M Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Great color, I like the 4" lucky strike twirl tails for drop shotting, one of those colors thats productive in most water colors. Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 I like the color in stained water/low light, I use it interchangeably with junebug, blk/bl, and similar colors. Quote
tholmes Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Highly productive, often overlooked X2! One of my "go to" colors for worms. It seems like they're gettin' hard to find, though Tom Quote
WookieeJedi Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I still use them, and not just because I bought 5 pounds of them 10 years ago and still have some left. I still use the "old" colors like black/blue curly tail, purple/ white tail, and grape. Fish don't seem to care if the worm is out of style. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 X2! One of my "go to" colors for worms.
