Uncle Leo Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Carolina Rig them, who knows if the barometer is on a raise you may do well. Quote
EasternPAfisherman Posted October 15, 2009 Author Posted October 15, 2009 can you give me a picture of a carolina rig please? I'm a young teen and never fished a carolina rig before, but I've fished a dropshot, wacky, weightless, and texas rig Quote
Uncle Leo Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Here is a link on the Carolina Rig. http://www.fishin.com/articles/georgewelcome/C-rigarticle/carolinarig.htm Almost any soft plastic can be rigged on this. As the fish may be deep and negative you will want to work it slow. The RT Shad can use used but I would downsize some. Try a RT Baby Craw if the are negative. Check the barometer if it is snowing a frontal condition can make the barometer rise. I had some good days in foul weather so who knows. Good luck. Also if you can familar with the dropshot and T-Rig that may work. Keep in mind that if the bass are negative keep the bait in front of them as long as you can. Welcome you will learn a lot here. There are some good bass fisherman on these boards. Quote
EasternPAfisherman Posted October 15, 2009 Author Posted October 15, 2009 thanks uncle leo, would a texas rig work just as well? Quote

Set oven on 400, coat them with a nice garlic sauce, cover with the cheese of your choice, light a fire, watch it snow, and enjoy. Sorry, I could not resist. It's 6:00pm and 92* here. Quote

EasternPAfisherman Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 I did not have the right measuring equipment but you never know, maybe a 10 pounder is in that pond. Quote
Infidel. Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 No, what you should have done was taken her home, measured and taken pics of her, then thrown her in a frying pan. That way you could have had your replica mount and a good meal Quote

That way you could have had your replica mount and a good meal ha ha, but really she lived long enough, ive been persistent in catching a beauty like her and finally hooked up onher in cold weather, the big fish are eating now so time to fish until it gets too cold.
