BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 18, 2012 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 18, 2012 Hey BassResource fans, Mike Iaconelli talks about spoons in his latest article. But not just any kind of spoons, but a certain type few talk or even know about.... http://www.bassresource.com/mike-iaconelli-fishing/small-spoons-bass.html Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 18, 2012 Super User Posted March 18, 2012 Great article! Spoons are definitely overlooked. Last season I started to use the Tony Accetta #5 with clacker. Similar to the way the In'Fisherman revealed in their mags and TV series. Very good results in the fall of 2011 with several 3 - 4 lb. smallies over deep structures. I fish them more like Iaconelli though; as the waters I fish host deep weed beds which do not allow for touching bottom, the way the In'Fisherman recommends. Here's what my rig looks like: Not a giant spoon, the way a lot of some pros recommend, but this size has given me the confidence I need to keep them well stocked in my tackle box. Quote
