loodkop Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I received a pack of Rage tail Space monkeys instead of the craws I wanted. However I like the looks of this bait. What is the recommended rigging for this. I thought it should do well on keel weighted hook with a swimming retrieve through grass. I'm open to suggestions. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted March 15, 2012 Super User Posted March 15, 2012 It is a fun lure to fish. Got some incredible action to it. Keel weight is one great idea and not a well kept secret that people think it is. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted March 15, 2012 Super User Posted March 15, 2012 Iv t-rigged it, weightless ontop of grass mats, keel weight, c-rigged it, swim jig trailer, once the bige claws get ripped off I cut it in half and use the small ones as a jig trailer kind of like a chunk trailer. I love the space monkeys there very versitail my favorite color is the black with blue flake. Quote
james 14 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 They're no good at all. You better send them to me. Quote
SausageFingers Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Keel weight that bad boy. Or throw throw it weightless. Thats the Rage bait that got me hooked on the entire series. Quote
loodkop Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 Thanks guys. I'm fishing "the salad bowl" this weekend. I will see if I can do some monkey business. Quote
BassinNY Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Keel Weight and Texas Rig. I have used it very successfully in all water coulumns. Quote
matstone7 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Everyone is missing my preffered rigging and the one that should be a secret. The slip-shot rig, especially during spring. Quote
