Super User 00 mod Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 OK, what about having to pee while fishing in a boat? off the back/front or do you hold it until you reach land or bottle it up or ??? Jeff Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 Just relax. Life's waaaaay too short to let trivial things get to you. You're missing out. I wish it was that easy for everyone; unfortunately that is not the case. Anxiety isn't something you can just rub some dirt on...it doesn't work like that. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 I cannot go to clubs with girls or concerts or crowded bars unless I'm liquored up. If I go there sober I get little anixety. And if I'm in a room full of strangers for socializing I get anxiety too and just kind of keep to myself in back of the room. ha. Ah well. Bathrooms aren't that bad I just feel uncomfortable when people standing next to me or if I think they're starring at me, it just makes me seize up every time. May be too much info, but one time I was at a restaurant, and went into the bathroom and people were standing around waiting for for a toilet to open up and I couldn't go with the crowd behind me, so I said screw it and walked out and waited later to go.. It sucks. Sorry to hear about that buddy. I am in the same boat. It's really frustrating. I never had social nor situational anxiety growing up. It's just the last five years or so. I used to flourish in a crowded room, now I have to become a wallflower too. When the social anxiety gets really bad, I experience hallucinations, blurred vision, etc. Booze helps me as well. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted March 17, 2012 Author Super User Posted March 17, 2012 OK, what about having to pee while fishing in a boat? off the back/front or do you hold it until you reach land or bottle it up or ??? Jeff Man, what memories this brings back. I used to have one heck of a time trying to pee off the boat. I used to beg my dad to drop me off on shore just so I could pee, and most of the time he wouldn't. I could stand on the bow for an hour with Willie whippin in the wind but nothing would come out. I would try standing, kneeling and sitting down without succes. I might get a drop to come out and boy did it ever feel good, but then Willie would shut down. I guess I outgrew whatever it was keeping me from peeing off the boat because I have no problem now. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 I wonder if women have the same problems us men have in the bathroom? I'm not sure, but I doubt that there are many ladies rooms with urinals or troughs. Although, on our return from our younger daughter's home, a rest area had temporary men's and ladies' rooms. We couldn't quite figure out who came up with this, but the temp men's room had no urinals while the temp ladies' room did. The temp signs were place beside the original sign for each area and for some odd reason they chose to switch the facilities. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 Lack of flow and anxiety makes Arlo Guthrie in "Alice's Restaurant" come to mind. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 Walk right in, it's around the back. Just a half mile from the railroad track. You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant. Or was it just about a mile from the railroad track? It's been such a long time. 1 Quote

I with you there - if you've ever participated in the 100 ft naked duck walk at MEPS along with a couple of hundred (also very naked) prospective enlistee's, the pretense of the op seems a little mundane. Super User clayton86 Posted March 17, 2012 Super User Posted March 17, 2012 Station #7, Fort Wayne..........." Drop your drawers, bend over and grab your ankles!" I remember the duck walk and bend over a spread em routine at meps iv gone threw it twice last time was only 5 years ago though. When ever new recruits ask me what meps is like I get to that part and they all freak. All docs doing is looking for hemroids the second time I went threw I was tempted to leave him a dingle or two haha. 1 Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted March 19, 2012 Super User Posted March 19, 2012 Never did the military thing. However, after a particularly rowdy night down in Auburn. I got to do the all time worst. It was, lift them now drop them. Bend over spread em and give two good coughs. It was a pretty rotten experience. Especially seeing as how there were eight of us being made to do this at there same time. Quote
scrutch Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Peeing off the boat is a fisherman's right of passage at my house. My son has become quite a pro. He stands in the splashwell with his drawers around his ankles, holds on to the motor and let's it rip. He thinks it's fun. I think he actually looks forward to peeing off the boat. Quote
