Vic Nightingale Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Any else here like using these things. I was out fishing today and caught 7 using one of these things. Watermelon green pumpkin. I don't know what it is about them, but on my lake I always catch fish with them, even when nothing else is working. Quote
Big Stick Joe Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I love them. Hematoma is my go to color. T-Rig with a 1/4oz sinker. Quote
buzzfrog Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 i love most of Ri stuff, and me loving to pitch, the sweet beavers are the bomb, havnt found any store with the kinky beavs yet Quote
Vic Nightingale Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 Joe, I was using a 3/8 weight. Buzzfrog, I'm starting to run low on mine. Quote
Big Stick Joe Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Hematoma is the only color i have caught fish off of. I have a few different colors. Magic Craw Red, Big Texan and Dirty Sanchez and haven't even gotten a bite of those colors. Oh well. Quote
A-Rob Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I caught some on Yum's version of the beaver....they work I just flip or pitch them into heavy cover I like the dark colors b/c of the heavy color I'm fishing Netbait makes them for cheaper and their product is pretty solid to Quote
jignfule Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I've used them, haven't seen much difference between them and other similar type baits. Quote
msolorio Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 not my favorite. id rather fish an sk rodent, robo pitchin kraw, or even better, the missile baits d-bomb. those things slay bass! Quote
tstone Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 My go-to bait for flipping. California 420 or sprayed grass. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 13, 2012 Super User Posted March 13, 2012 I love the Beavers. Sprayed Grass is a favorite of mine. They were one of my top 3 "go-to's" last season. Quote
buzzfrog Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 If I am not using RI it gonna be a pit boss or the SK version, got some yum but havn't tried them yet. If were talkin creatures brush hogs are the bomb Quote
SausageFingers Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 The Kinky Beavers are pretty solid as well. They just came out this year and look like they'll throw a little more action. Quote
Mumpy Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 3 Weeks ago I decided it was time to create a Creature Bait box for my Already oversized Tackle Box. So, I ordered about $70.00 worth of Sweet Beavers, Kinky Beavers and those shaky worms they sell in all sorts of different colors. I then made some Jika Rigs using a 1/4oz Bell Sinker and some Trokar Hooks. Went to Lake Eufaula on probably the worst day I've fished there in 20 years, weather was terrible and didn't get a bite for over an hour. So I picked up my Jig Rod, riggged with above mentioned set up. Had a Sprayed Grass Sweet Beaver hooked up. First Cast and caught a Bass. I've been hooked on em ever since. Quote
Vic Nightingale Posted March 14, 2012 Author Posted March 14, 2012 Had another great time today fishing with these. They are absolutely now my go-to bait. Caught my first spawning female of the season today on it. Was about 4 pounds. Not as big as I had hope, but I'll take it. Quote
POPRG Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I like the SK rodent a lot! It's a green pumpkin/blue color that worked well for me last fall. Just grabbed a few packs of the havoc craw fatty, looked at them so many trips, and just could not resist anymore, hope they produce!! Quote
