Once again why make a poll that doesn't list every available product, why not just ask which frog each of us prefers to use?

I like Stanley Ribbits   ;)

The other thing I would like to add is that there are basically 2 kinds of "frogs" listed here. You Have the hollow soft body ones and the ones which are referred to as "buzzing" frogs. Each one serves its own purpose and the bass may prefer one over another on a given day.

The buzzing frogs are used like a buzzbait and also gererally sink and can be dropped into holes or twitched in a subsurface manner along weedlines or over submerged weeds. The hollow body frogs can be walked or twitched and pulled along in some really thick slop.

So basically you would have to have the poll split into two categories since they are 2 totally different lures.

My all around favorite buzz frog is the ribits and rage tails.Favorite hollow frog is the bobbys perfect frog. ;)

I've been looking but I haven't been able to find that thing yet.  And being that they just came out where have you been catching fish on them in January because I need to move there.

They have been out for some time. Bass Pro has them Gander,Sportsman Warehouse just to name a few.

Darn you're lucky. The Bass Pro out here doesn't have them yet and neither does their webiste. In fact the last time I checked, the Spro website doesn't even have them yet.

I never tried it, but you might want to check it out.  It's not out yet, but one day the guy will have an online shop for it.  It's a pretty interesting frog lure.  He just says its soft, but tough enough to withstand creatures with teeth like pike.  The hook is put in front of the frog's lips like a Banjo Minnow, probably because the body is harder than most hollow frogs.

Feelin Froggy, spring is just around the corner. Gonna ck out the new frogs this year cause I've seen some new ones at BPS ans CABBY'S. Rage Tail video makes me shake and get short of breath.

I like the Rage Tail Toad. It has terrific splash and action. If it lands on its back in water, it also rights itself as soon as you start your retrieve. Slow retrieve has a plop-plop-plop sound and quicker really makes some racket. I'll find alot water to chunk these in this year.

Hey your only here to learn as am I. I was just trying to explain the difference in the kinds of "frogs"

What you should do is take one of each type using the preferences here, hollow body and buzzing, and get one of each.

In other words:A lot of people like the ribbit frog which is a buzzbait type toad and a lot of people like the Spro bronzeye which is soft hollow type. Two totally different lures and actions.

BTW I live in Florida and anytime is frog time LOL ;)

Wow I'm three for three on polls this week.

I haven't been able to vote in any of them.

This poll compares "apples and oranges"

a horny toad is a COMPLETELY different class of bait than a spro bronzeye frog

hollow body frogs float

classic toad baits like the horny toad will sink.

They are different baits fished in different ways.

That being said.

Avid likes zoom horny toads, and spro bronzeye frogs.

I have two Bronzeye Frogs, and I don't have any problems with either.

As far as the solid frogs, I like the Zoom Horny Toads best. I'm looking forward to trying the Rage Toads this season.

You left the two best frogs off the list!

#1 Gamber Cane Toad

#2 Sizmic Toad

#3 Horny Toad

Best of everything else is the Scum Frog.

scum frog big foot...

i weight it with some twiston line sinkers on the hook to give it a little extra casting distance...

great combo of hollow body and buzz frog.

for the hollow frog i pick spro and spro olny

for a buzzin frog i pick gambler cane toads ,, ribit frogs ,,, and zoom horney toads ... in that order ... ;)
