River Rat316 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 We are starting our spring sale this week, it will run a little different than last year, each week we are going to have a different bait on sale going through the end of April. We are doing it this way to hopefully try and spread out the sale a little and make sure that everything gets included. This weeks bait is the Original Swim jig, Regular Price is $3.49 it is marked down 15% and you can take more off with the br10 code, or even more if you are on our mailing list or a fan on Facebook. (To get on our mailing list you can sign up on our website). and here is the link to our FaceBook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/NorthStar-Custom-Baits/132601386796834 Right now our ship time are 5-7 BUSINESS days, this can change drastically, order volume is usually heavy this time of year even without sales, I will try and keep up with the notice on the site wide footer so people have at least some idea of what to expect. Alo this is the busy time of year for vendors, so as much as we try to keep material instock it is not always possible, so if something gets back ordered I will end out notification, if it gets back ordered without me having a shipping time for material I will issue a refund and let you know when i get it back instock. We aso will have the bargain bin back up for some specials, these will be added over time, as more product is available Quote
Vinny Chase Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 The best swimjig on the market for under $3? Pretty tough to beat that! Quote
KentuckyDave Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 What colors would you recommend in Kentucky waters? Quote
Vinny Chase Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 What colors would you recommend in Kentucky waters? I would try a shiner color, black/blue, Kentucky blue grass, and chartreuse/white...That would cover every scenario. Quote
River Rat316 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Flip and Swim jigs are on Sale this week. Quote
bwillis Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Ordered some swim jigs last week, can't wait until they get here. Quote
VABasser Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Hey RiverRat I've got a question about the flip and swim jigs. First off they look good, I don't remember you having them last spring when I placed an order. They remind me of a Dirty Jigs swim jig, except quite a bit cheaper. My question is how big is the hook on the 1/2oz and up models? I ask because a technique I like to use these heavy swim jigs for is to put a 5 inch swimbait on as a trailer, but the hook needs to be big enough to handle that. Would these hooks be able to accomodate a 5 inch swimbait? Thanks Quote

Thanks they are a 5/0 3x Mustad hook in the 1/2 oz and above, 3/8 is 4/0, the 5/0 is a substantial hook, I am unaware of a 5" swim Bait that will not work with these. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 The flip swim is one of the best jigs I've ever fished in grass and heavy vegetation. Like Chris said, a 5" swimbait is fine on the 1/2 oz. Quote

Take the 1 oz, put on your favorite trailer, tie it up on your frog rod, and sling that thing as far back in the pads as you can - it will rip right through them and give the bass a look they may never has seen before due to other jigs not attempting what this jig can. 1 Quote

Well said guys,it is a KILLER in pads. And that 1 oz. on deep weedlines it is almost unfair. And the strikes are vicious! Quote
