To make it official, I have not tried either of these BPS lures.

I haven't ever heard of them either.

Why don't you (original poster) write-up a review and post it here?

Don't buy them...You need to spend your money on known producers when you are just starting out.

Guys buy "junk lures" for fun after they already own everything important.

My buddy loves the "top prop" for bass an northern up north. He bought the turbo toad as a similar bait. He hates it. Thats all i know about either lures. If you want a topwater that will catch fish and weedless, grab some rage toads, rage shads, and rage eeliminators.

im not just starting out, i like to try differnt lures. correct me if im wrong but isnt that the only way something becomes a known producer.

No.

Most guys buy lures that top pros are winning tournaments with or come

highly recommended by friends. Your new friends here at BassResource have

posted hundreds of suggestions and new ones every day. A couple of specific

suggestions that are hot right now are the Rage Tail Shad, Rage Tail Baby

Craw (naked) and Craw (weighted hook), LC Pointer, Red Eyed Shad and small

swimbaits: Keitech Swing Impact Fat, Shadalicious and Hollow Belly.

I haven't tried the Turbo Toad or the Double Take, and honestly, I wouldn't waste my money on either of them. I'm sure that at some point you could catch fish with them, but they just seem too gimmicky to me.

i agree, they are definitely different, but i dont think they would be consistent fish catchers

I have the turbo toad, but have not said much because I have only used it a few times, and go to things like spro and koppers frogs, bohya buzzbaits, plastic frogs (BPS plastic frog and stanley ribbit)and a sputterbuzz instead of it because I have more confidence.

I found it a little heavy and I tend to like a smaller buzz and it makes a lot of noise, so I might be a little bias.

If you are interested and have a stocked box, give it a shot, not super expensive or anything.

Haven't used either. You can also go on BPS website and find customer reviews on there. More than likely not many guys on here have every used them and don't want to comment on a bait they have never used or ever heard of in some cases.
