Wildbillb Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 http://www.stickjacket.com/Web/Home.php Good or bad? What do you guys think? Quote
Super User webertime Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 Better price. MORE choices of colors and whatever length you want (at no extra charge). LOVE mine http://shop.coletackle.com/ Quote
0119 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I use them when in a buddies jon boat and all the rods get stacked together. Its helped keep his lures from tangling in my lines. I always use them on my rods over $200 just like I always use reel covers. Quote
j.bruno Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Great idea to protect your investment. I also use the neoprene skins on my casting reels. Quote
coak Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 x2 on the pricing. There are other brands out there just as good but a bit pricier. For the money, a good investment to keep your rods from tangling up. Quote
The Next KVD Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Love mine, and don't know how I got by without them before. Makes pulling out a rod you want out of the rodlocker much easier especially when you got 15 or so rods and the one you want is at the bottom. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 I use Stick Jackets on all my rods. The only negative comment I have is that if you get a hook caught in the jacket weave, it is a huge pain in the butt to free it. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 The Stick Jackets, or something similar are a great idea. I use the Bass Pro rod socks on all of my rigs as an inexpensive alternative I think the jacket type offer a little more protection though. Having something to keep rods from tangling in the box will save much time, effort, and grief. The nylon socks are also a pain to get a barbed hook out of... Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 I would not be without them! I bought mine at Gander and they work great in my rod lockers. With the Bass Pro rod socks, the strap would get caught in other reels ect. But the rod jackets come all the way ( or all most ) to the reel. I guide and I have like 27 rods in my two rod lockers ( I know I am crazy ) and the jackets help me out alot and alot less problems for sure. Like the one post said the worst thing is getting a hook in one of them! Quote
Diablos Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I use The Rod Glove which is basically the same. Quote
