Super User Raul Posted September 12, 2009 Super User Posted September 12, 2009 hello! Just thought i'd ask this question, doe's anyone still use the Mann's augertail worm? I do, when you purchase baits Raul style you can expect to have a stock of baits that wil last you for a good couple of decades and maybe a little bit more. ( no wonder why I still fish with them and in colors long time discontinued ) Back to the question, Which one is my favorite worm ? --> straight tail worm ( used to be Mann 's Jelly worm ( no longer in my stock ), now it 's Zoom Trickworm ). Which one is my favorite hook ? 3/0 offset Owner for that worm. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted September 12, 2009 Super User Posted September 12, 2009 I still do occasionally. The color I have the most of is the black grape with FS454. Quote

infamous512 Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I mostly use Zoom's trick worm, mag 11 & ole monsters with 1 piece-gamikatsu hook and 1/4oz weight attached together(from academy). Quote
JVM Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I always liked the run of the mill nightcrawlers with eagle claw barbed bait hooks. Not sure what size. Grab my Snoopy-pole, a can of worms and box of hooks and bobbers and get rdy to do some pro-style bassin! ...j/k. Good question tho...????? Quote

Fat-G Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Mine (so far) are either a Zoom Trick Worm or a....... Zoom Trick Worm. For some reason, I just flat out catch big fish on these. The Red Sapphire is my favorite color. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted September 13, 2009 Super User Posted September 13, 2009 use 4/0 and 5/0 Tru-Turn and straight shanked hooks for worm fishing. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted September 13, 2009 Super User Posted September 13, 2009 Raul, I also have a toothpaste size tube of FS454 that I bought after it was not included already applied in the package. I also have some worm packs that have the small tube in it for self application (which came out later). Yep, I'm old. Quote
aarogb Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Gambler Giggy Stick in chartruese pumpkin with the tails dyed in red garlic Spike-It. Don't fish it on a regular hook much (mostly I fish it on a Spot Remover 1/4 oz.), but if I did probably a 3/0 Owner Wide Gap Plus hook. Quote

OIFBasser Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I like using Mann's Jellyworms in black grape weightless with a 5/0 EWG, or pegging it with a 7/0 ol' monster. Roboworms zipperworms in Aarons magic, and black grape with 4/0 EWG. Zoom trickworms in Junebug, white, and pumpkin/pearl. Stickbaits, senkos are the best, but also like Netbait salt lick, ***, and dingers. I generally use Gamakatsu hooks due to being reliable and cost effective. Quote

SuthernProg Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I actually have to claim 2. One when there's biguns around, one for regulars. I like 7.5" Red Shad Culprits on a 4/0 Gamakatzu EWG, and for the other I like a 6" Roboworm straight tail (weird name for color, can't remember it) on a 2/0 Owner offset. Using Tru-Tungsten weights.
