dave Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 It won't start when it's cold outside. It is kept in a closet on my carport, completely protected from the elements. It just will not start when it is cold. Any ideas? Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted March 9, 2012 Super User Posted March 9, 2012 How cold is cold? Motors don't generally like the cold. I'd suggest warming it up or keeping it in a warmer place during the winter months. If nothing else you could always wrap some heat trace around the motor. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 9, 2012 Super User Posted March 9, 2012 Do you drain the condensation after each use? Quote
dave Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 It's brand new. I've only used it once. I called Campbell Hausfield. They said that it may have a motor winding issue. It won't start even when it is around 40 degrees. They said that is absolutely warm enough for it to start right up, take it back. Quote
