je1946 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Just read an article on swimming plastic worms,I've done the typical texas rigged slow drag with success, but this seems to cover water fairly quickly, anyone here do this? If so could U explain your technique and the type of worm you use Quote
Shane Procell Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I use a Zoom Vibra worm sometimes with fantastic results. It is basically a cut tail worm that when worked through the water the tail wags drawing some awesome strikes. I like to use it parallel to heavy cover. Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted March 8, 2012 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted March 8, 2012 Same as Capt. Shane. I use zoom and Bitters Vibe. Swim it, Hop it or Pitch it. <<<<<<<<<<Taylor caught this one pitching a black/blue flake bitters vibe into a laydown. https://www.bittersbaitandtackle.com/prodimages/024-117.jpg Quote
JoePhish Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Anacondas on a keel weighted hook. --- Deadly. Quote
nvhsaccel Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 7 inch berkley power worm in pumpkin seed is very productive for covering water. It acts as a different search bait rather than a crank or spinnerbait. Sometimes letting it fall can be productive too. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 8, 2012 Super User Posted March 8, 2012 For me I like the Netbait C-Mac worms 7,12,15 in. and the Jelly worms. I use no weight and swim them slow on or over the weeds. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 8, 2012 Super User Posted March 8, 2012 Anacondas on the Owner weighted hook with the centering pin. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 8, 2012 Super User Posted March 8, 2012 Swimming Senko, this is basically a finesse swimbait presentation but better. What makes these baits so effective is you can cover water quickly and if you found fish you can slow it down and fish the same bait just like a normal worm. Quote
ChrisAW Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Swimmin Senkos. Costly but effective. Not nearly as costly when you get a bottle of Mend-It Quote
Aaron Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I had one of my best days of fishing ever last fall using Swim senkos. I use them with weighted swimbait hooks and dip the tail in some spike it. I caught three fish in the 7 lb range and several in the 2-3 lb range that day. Quote
