Brian - it's hard to tell from the pic but, are those stored on the underside of a rod-box lid? If so, that's ingenious!

Yea, its on the side of the box lid that does not have carpet if that helps, the inside of the box. when you shut the lid they just dangle freely but dont fall off. I got some eye hooks that at home depot, and just opened them about 1/8" so you can get the wire of the spinnerbait in there.

Thx Brian! Now I have another 'project' that gets prioritized after my honey-do's. LOL.

It looks like a 3/8 x 2" firring strip. Did you use rivets to attach it?

I've often thought that there was wasted space under those lids and now you've solved a problem for me. Or created a new one! Either way - good idea!

You can also use a piece of aluminum track and drill holes through it. Add some d ring clips and store soft plastic bait packages. It is great to open you box and grab something real quick.

I still use the Tacklelogic binders. I have one for Colorado blade spinnerbaits, and another for willow blade spinnerbaits. Each has extra envelopes installed so I may have somewhere around 65 spinnerbaits in those plus trailer hooks, spare skirts, and trailers. I carry some loose also in the boat too.

I used to have an old style spinnerbait box. So old the plastic was falling apart and cracking due to rot. Got rid of it when I saw this tip on another forum.

It's a CD case.

My method too......picked one up for 99 cents.  Just realized my keyboard doesn't have a "cent" symbol.

I use a Flambeau 0550 "Big Mouth" for the spares that are out of the packages and a Plano 3503 for the ones I use on a regular basis. I find the Plano box to be the perfect size for the kayak. It fits perfectly behind my seat in an insulated lunch box.

I purchased many of the large spinnerbait plastic green boxes that were offerend many years ago buy now discontinued.  The very first red plastic one had no storage on the top cover but the later green ones have the top cover flip up storage too.  I also use these for my plastics storage too.  Then my backup stock is in marked cardboard boxes on shelves.

I have found that using one of those plastic notecard cases, the ones that expand with inividual sections does the trick for me. I just put one spinnerbait in each pocket of the case. Keeps them organized and easily accessible.

I also like the CD case idea! I might have to upgrade to that!

But seriously the expandable notecard cases are money!
