Xcalibur Tx3 Wide Gap Worm Hooks

Has anyone ever used them?

I'm looking for some new wide gap hooks for soft plastics and ran across these at a decent price and was wondering if they were any good. Right now I use mostly Gamakatsu hooks, but they seem to dull pretty easy so I'm looking for a reasonably priced hook to use.

I have a bunch (look in the right spot and you can find 50 count boxes for $7). They work great and have a somewhat deeper bend/gap than say a Gammy EWG. The only thing I saw that bums me out is that salty baits cause them to rust rather quickly. I don't leave my baits on the hooks for storage but leaving a Senko on one for a day of fishing will give you some rust.

They are some super sharp hooks that perform well but as webertime has mentioned, they rust and do so pretty quick. I used to have the Xcalibur rotating trebles on my rogue jerkbaits years ago and when you hooked a fish they stayed hooked, an extremely good design but because they rusted so quick it got to be a pain of changing out hooks on a regular basis but they do perform.

Not putting the top on all the way of a jar of Smelly Jelly and laying it on it's side in the same Plano box as your hooks on a hot day DOES keep them from rusting though. Not what I wanted to do but it has kept them from getting any worse for over a year now.
