Did any of you guys watch online the latest Major League Fishing Video? They were still fishing Amistad and some of the other guys were still throwing the A-rig but Van Dam didn't. He had 40lbs in 3 hours! Of course they count all fish caught within the legal lengths. He was unbelievable. He can locate fish better than anyone. Unreal.

He sure can. I'm usually the type of guy that goes more for the underdog, but if you calculate how many times he's been in the money with how many tournaments he's fished, he blows almost everyone else out of the water. KVD is too legit to quit.

KVD didn't fare too well during the 2012 Classic though. But he'll always be a force to be reckoned with, for sure!

The guy is a machine, there is no doubt about that! I'm sure he's forgotten more about fishing than I'll ever know.

11th place isn't fairing to well? Kinda like when tiger woods came in second in his hay day he didn't have a good tournament?

Did anyone sit down exactly break down what he did. You might just learn something from it. Both days that he fished he looked for an area that had the right structure and cover at a particular depth. Both days were all about deeper hydrilla. Day one was a main lake flat that had two deep ditches on both sides. He was casting where the deep edge of the hydrilla meet the ditch and then working up onto the flat. The second day he caught most of them in a ditch (What he called a wash) that was in the middle of a pocket. It had hydrilla on both sides. He caught them up and down the ditch but the best fishing was right were the the ditch got too deep for the hydrilla to grow on the sides of it.

Then he used his main confidence lure for fishing deeper water. A deep diving crankbait. He did switch up from that to a jerkbait and a spinnerbait but he stuck to what he had the most confidence in.

This is the most exciting tournament format I've ever seen. Was anybody else glued to the computer for 2 straight hours like me? Wow!

Its pretty freaking impressive that he finds those subtle areas/differences so quickly in such a large area and then proceeds to exploit it for everything its worth.
