That's my favorite set-up as well. white with silver double when it's clear water and sunny. When it's cloudy or darket I normally throw white or white and chartruese with gold willow blades. If that doesn't work then I try throwing white and white blades. If it's really dark water or at night I'll throw a colorodo blade That's really it. I find that if there is a spinnerbait bite on those three combo's cover most situations. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted October 5, 2009 Super User Posted October 5, 2009 White White/chartruse Black Sexy shad White/gold/W/gold filler Red/Orange Blade combinations are: Nickle Willow/Willow Nickle Willow Gold Colorado/Nickle Willow Gold Willow/Willow Gold Willow Nickle Turtleback Gold turtleback Nickle Indiana Gold Indiana Gold Colorado/Nickle Willow A killer color for me in this area is the red spinnerbait with a gold/nickle willow blade combination I fish the lighter colors in the clear water and the brighter colors in off color water. I will also take a lighter and smoke the blades to cut down on the brightness of the flash. Quote
senko_77 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I like a 1/2oz white with double white, undersized willows burned as fast as possible. I have been SLAYING them with this setup now the whole Summer and into Fall. I have an article coming out soon that is gonna be all about this technique. Quote
ib_of_the_damned Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Just got back from the local lake and I was using the Booyah Mini Shad spinnerbait. Its a smaller spinnerbait because I fish heavily pressured water. It has triple willow blades and a silvery pearl white skirt, nickel blades. I mainly use white or white/chart skirt combos. I also use a War Eagle Finesse Spinnerbait, white/chart, double mag willows. I ended up picking this up on the first cast with the Booyah Mini Shad: Quote
