Shane Procell Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Congratulations to South Florida angler and my friend, Corey Nowakowski for a pending new world record snakehead catch. The fish was caught here in South Florida on a buzz frog. The fished weighed in at 12 pounds, eclipseing the current I.G.F.A. record of 11.8 pounds which was caught Asia. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 7, 2012 Global Moderator Posted March 7, 2012 Very cool looking fish. Bet that thing was a heck of fight! Quote
Shane Procell Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 http://www.bassresou...cord-snakehead/ I Should have been more specific. The snakeheads we have in Florida are not the same as the snakeheads in the north. Down here in Florida we have the Channa Marulioides, known as the Bullseye. Quote

VABasser Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Nice, I'm not sure if I've seen one of the Bullseye before. Pretty markings. You guys have the Giant snakeheads down there too right? Maybe I'm getting them confused with the Bullseye. I've caught quite a few of the Northern's in the Potomac. Super fun to catch and great to eat Quote
Shane Procell Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Some folks say we have Giants, I have not seen one yet or heard about any being caught. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted March 10, 2012 Super User Posted March 10, 2012 Amazing, we go big in Fla. Big Bass, and now big Snakeheads! Where did he end up finding the beast? Quote
