I dont know if i am getting old or not. But for some reason i used to watch the classic and it used to get me pumped every year. I have been watching it for 25 years now and this one was just not doing it for me.

Ok i am getting old but thats besides the point.

I didn't find it boring. I was pretty fired up to dial into the coverage actually. That said, I would say it was a little less captivating than the past two for some reason.

One thing that I did find intially frustrating was the coverage. It took nearly an hour before the website had the live stuff going. Once it got rolling, it was fine but the delay in coverage on the first day was a mistake, in my opinion.

If your name was Chris Lane it wasn't to boring lol. Na seriously though I enjoyed watching the war room coverage more than the TV coverage. Stuff was actually in the middle of happening in the war room. The TV coverage is all just a quick recap of what happened on the water.

I wasnt crazy for the way they covered it. I think they should have done some more "show me some fishing action" than "lets get the crowed pumped up".

Yeah more coverage on the "catching fish" part, what I did like is that chris was telling everyone on how he was fishing and what he planned on and followed through.

I thought outside of a couple good action shots (Martins fish slap, squirrels lost fish) the camera coverage was marginal at best. Guys were fishing and we were getting shots of rod handles and shoreline the angler was not fishing. Was to much war room coverage and lets get loud crowd. If I want to see Zona, I'll watch his show. What the anglers fishing have to say is much more interesting. The FLW shows I have been watching have had much better angler camera work.

I thought Bassmaster shows 10 years ago were better than what we get these days. A lot more technical info was shown/given/ plus better angler conversations. The conversations were better because the people covering the different anglers asked the good questions!

I thought the coverage was alright. There was a good mix of personalities. It was great to see some of the lesser known anglers fishing well and to have them featured. I really think Edwin Evers may have a break out year this year. He's my dark horse to win angler of the year.

That fish smacking Aaron Martins has to be in the top five greatest sports moments of all times. I'm surprised he didn't cry.

I agree. Evers just keeps getting better every year.

Evers is one of the best for sure.

I thought the coverage was OK. Didn't like that it wasn't in order timewise, and they showed the same fish being caught over and over. But still glad I got to watch the classic on TV

I can't believe how many people I've talked to were all upset that KVD didn't win (Living in Michigan doesn't help that.) Most had nothing more to say than "I don't even know who Chris Lane is."

I enjoyed every bit of coverage. I'm not sure how you guys think there wasn't enough? There was maybe 2 minutes for every 10 minutes of fishing that they talked with the guys in the weigh in center. And wasn't last year only an hour per day coverage? There was over 5 hours of coverage this year just for 3 days.

Last year had the same time frame as this year in regards to TV time. When Outdoor Channel recapped it all recently they had to split days 2 and 3 since they only do hour long shows. I wish they covered all of the tourneys in as much time. The hour long shows don't do much to cover 4 days of fishing.

I got tired of hearing the same quotes from the anglers each day. I was glad I had it on DVR so I could skip through. I also think they could've done a little more to highlight some of the other drama going on. Davy Hite and (whoever else was fishing the same little area) were trading off turns at a 6+ lber on bed. Timmy Horton had 17lbs by 10:00 on day 3 and they never even mentioned his name. There were a few other side stories you got to see if you were watching the live blog and war room and they left most of it out making it the Chris and Bobby Lane show.

All in all I enjoyed watching it. All they can do to talk about what the anglers are doing, what they're using and anything else that pertains to their thought process is TV gold they should take full advantage of.

The classic really needs live coverage on a station willing to give it the time of day, ESPN is too much in a hurry to show another rerun of sportscenter back to back to back in a row. I really dont care to watch it after all the results have been known for a week

I would like to see the Classic on a station that can give in more time and see a wider assortment of anglers as well. Edwin Evers is one of my favorites as well and think he will have a break out season as others have mentioned.

The show is too much talking and not enough coverage of the fisherman. The classic location could have been a more exciting place. Muddy water. It is hard to get real excited for 13-17# bags during a classic. I enjoyed the show, but it is slipping IMHO.

I like to see big fish too but I thought the coverage of the classic when it was in Pittsburgh was awesome and there was no big bags there!
