vatech Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 What are some cool fishing shirts and where to get them? My buddy has a Power Pro long sleeve shirt that I think looks awesome but I can't find one online. I also love Guy Harvey and BP t-shirts. Who makes the best tactical fishing shirts? Anyone to avoid? southernyankee Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 try G2 custom apparel. the website is www.geminisportmarketing.com/custom-jerseys/ they have some cool stuff Quote
fishinfewl Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I have several G-Loomis shirts and sweatshirts w/ their skeleton logo. Love them! Quote
ks cranker Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Quote I have several G-Loomis shirts and sweatshirts w/ their skeleton logo. Love them! Anyone have problems with the Loomis shirts being short? The shirt I have I can't wear, looks like it was made for sponge bob.... > Quote
Gangley Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Eddie Bauer has some great summer fishing shirts. They breathe good, never fade, and come in tall sizes which keeps the shirt from coming up and exposing things in the rear. I have a bright orange one that I wear exclusively, and its still as bright as the day i bought it, never shrunk, breathes great, and whicks away the sweat as soon as a breeze blows by. Fantastic shirt! Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted September 15, 2009 Super User Posted September 15, 2009 Try the Columbia Bonehead shirt. Nothing better for warm weather fishing. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted September 15, 2009 Super User Posted September 15, 2009 I stay away from fishing shirts made with synthetic fabrics, they don't breath and are very warm. For me it has to be a cotton fishing shirt, t shirts work well enough and are comfortable, I wear them a size big. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 15, 2009 Super User Posted September 15, 2009 Today's synthetics breath, dry quickly, provide UV protection and resist stains. Comparing them with cotton seems silly to me. : Quote
Koop Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I think the OP meant "cool" as in desired or neat design. I personally don't wear anything except long sleeve UV protection shirts when fishing, no matter how hot it is. Skin cancer is not something to be messed with, long pants and long sleeves will keep you cooler than short sleeves and shorts as well. Believe it or not if its hotter than your body temp outside it works. North-face and Columbia sell some good ones. Quote
skillet Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I have a REAL problem with the sun. I broke down and bought a long-sleeved, synthetic with UV protection. I was amazed . I don't perspire I SWEAT. I can actually wring sweat out of a T-shirt. The shirt didn't help with the sweating but it sure wicked (sp) it away and dried really fast. I'm sold on these type of shirts... skillet Quote
bmadd Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I love my long sleeve Gemini jersey that our team has. As for when I'm just fishing, I'm a HUGE fan of Columbia PFG products. Especially the Skiff Guide II long sleeves. Like someone already mentioned, get the long sleeves. Skin cancer isn't worth it and I honestly can't tell any difference in a nice long sleeve fishing shirt than in a nice short sleeve one. A t-shirt of any kind is much warmer and gets soaked and sticks to you and I find that very uncomfortable. Quote

BriBass Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Quote try G2 custom apparel. the website is www.geminisportmarketing.com/custom-jerseys/they have some cool stuff Those hoodies are AWESOME Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 Cotton should be left for house duty .synthetic is way better to control sweat and heat or cold depending what your doing Quote
gabes Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Cotton is old school. The synthetics breathe better, are lighter and cooler. Try the Under Armour heat gear shirts and the new long sleeve/short sleeve fly fishing looking shirts with pockets. Very compfortable and they are much cooler than cotton. Quote
skillet Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I happened to look at mine just before I signed on. It is a World Wide Sportsman. The other great thing about it (for me) they come in TALL sizes. Gets old being taken for a plumber ... skillet Quote
Roofer Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 For cool shirts check out the bassaholics shirts at tackle warehouse. Probably cotton but look good. Quote
zelmo Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I started wearing long sleeve fishing shirts in the hot weather this summer and couldn't believe how cool I felt. Do you wear a cotton T under them, or does that defeat one of the purposes (wicking)? Quote
Chris W Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Quote Try the Columbia Bonehead shirt. Nothing better for warm weather fishing. If you think the Bonehead's are good you should try the Tamiami's they are even lighter. Quote
Bantam1 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I'm a big fan of the Under Armor products. The Heat and Cold gear is just awesome. I use it for fishing and hunting and have just been so impressed I continue to buy more. Quote
Clark Stewart Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 If you have an academy sports close by then by some of their Magellan brand fishing shirts. They're nylon and come in long and short sleeve with 30SPF sunblock built in I believe. That's what I always wear and a lot of times they're on sale for like 15 bucks for short sleeved. I can't tell much difference in quality between it and the columbia brand that is twice as much. Quote
Clobbersaurus Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I was hoping to see a bunch of cool bass t-shirt design, but everyone listed the vanilla shirts! Bassaholics are cool, Bassfury has a good design or two, but I think the new Apex Predator designs are the best looking ones I've seen so far. Has anyone seen any Affliction styled bass shirts? Quote
Willzx225 Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Another cool one to check out is a guy based around Smith Mountain Lake. His clothing line is called Limit-5. He is a good guy and a fisherman as well. Quote
