citybassboy Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hey guys! I was wondering if you guys are still stockin or already stocked?I'm so excited for this season with new rods, reels, equipment and a new boat! Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted March 6, 2012 Super User Posted March 6, 2012 Oh man, you've got it bad. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) Don't get overwhelmed. Pick a few things at a time and figure it out. Figure that boat out first. Make sure you have everything you need if something goes wrong or breaks. There are some great articles on boat prep and care in the BassResource Library. Check them out. Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I did spend more this season then i have in the last few season, mainly replacing old rod/reel setups! I'm pretty much ready other then picking up few baits here n there along the way! Quote
Christian M Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Yea man I'm getting all geared up more than usual this season, mostly because I joined my first bass club. I got 2 new combos, replaced 3 reels, & built a livewell. Not to mention all the new lures I bought. Quote
SausageFingers Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I'm beyond stoked and I'm trying desperately to curb my purchasing habits while waiting for the season to get underway. Quote
bwillis Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I'm stocked up on baits and terminal tackle. I just need to pick up some fluoro and a couple new rods, and then I'm all set. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted March 7, 2012 Super User Posted March 7, 2012 I'm always stocking up....the past month it's been nothing but jigs. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Unless i come across some mega deals i am all set for the season. I think i hit every clearance and close-out sale we had in town. Even took a trip to Concord for the spring classic at bass pro shops ( which was a huge disappointment for me).. Quote
SAC2 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 could use a few more spinnerbaits and maybe some creatures! besides that, i'm pretty well stocked. we didnt really have much "down time" here in new jersey this year with how the winter was. I fished open water one week, was on the ice for 3 days the next week, and then back in the boat the following week. i havent even respooled yet! oh yeah, that reminds me..... i need some new mono for my topwater rod! Quote
Scorcher214 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I've got just about everything I need. Might pick up a few things for lure making but that's about it. And just need to make one order from TW for a few things and I'll be set. Well I also need another rod for a reel I got coming. Quote
Mumpy Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I can't begin to tell you everything I've purchased thus far. Let's put it this way, I had to get rid of my Tackle box and I purchased a Luggage Bag that you roll and I was able to fit 14 Plano Boxes in! I replaced every Rod that I owned and Next week I should be picking up my Z7 Nitro! Quote
Vinny Chase Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I am with you man! I have spent more this off-season than every before. Most of it went towards replacing my setups with Dobyns rods and Curados. I am also buying my first boat this spring! Quote
Super User bigbill Posted March 7, 2012 Super User Posted March 7, 2012 I'm going to have cardboard boxes of all my favorite lures before there discontinued and get harder to purchase. I'm stocking up on bomber cranks, rebel's, norman lures ect. I don't stop buying them till the box is full. I spent $200 this month alone and probably a total of $500 by opening day comes. They i stop buying and start fishing non stop. (retired). I'm hoping to get a small row boat so i can get into the smaller places to fish here in CT. Quote
