Super User aavery2 Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 I have yet to see a 201E5 anywhere. True that, forgot they did not produce them in wrong handers Quote
Super User tomustang Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 Bad enough it took shimano long enough to make a cranking reel in lefty Quote
telmomarques Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 i have daiwa zillion crazy cranker and curado 200e5, zillion is way better than curado, get a daiwa zillion crazy cranker Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted March 12, 2012 Super User Posted March 12, 2012 Just to add, before I bought my Curado 201DPV, I deep cranked with my Citica 201D, which is a 6.2:1 reel, with Shimano's HEG it pulled big deep divers like SK 6xd's pretty easy, not as easy as the CU201DPV, but it didn't feel like I was dragging a dead body through the water, I can not say that about any 6.x:1 reels I have had in any other brand. Agreed. I absolutely love my 200 DPV's. Big, heavy, beast of a reel. But I'll be damned it it isn't a fantastic cranking reel. Quote
Diablos Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I use the Lew's. Until it lets me down, I see no reason to spend more money. For $99 it has been solid. 1 Quote
Crankenstein Crony Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 The Revo Winch is a great reel for cranking. It comes in a left hand model. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted March 14, 2012 Super User Posted March 14, 2012 Curado 5.5:1, Revo Winch 5.4:1, or Bass Pro Pro Qualifer 5.2:1. I really don't think the first two are much better than the PQ, which IMO is the best baitcaster out there besides MAYBE the Curado. Quote
