Koop Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I have been fishing these in the 1/2oz for a little over a week now and must say... they are a very solid built spinnerbait. Quote
-HAWK- Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The jointed head design seems interesting. I may have to give the a try. Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 KOOP-I'm glad you received them - I want to know what ya think about the blades. They look very unique in the water, The top half reflects the color and the lower half reflects the flash. I hope you like them. Quote
basser89 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Shoot! Made a TW order a week too soon. I need to get my hands on a few of these babies!!! Might have found an excuse for another order! LOL Quote
Hook Set Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I took delivery of my Megastrike order on Monday. I had ordered one of the new spinnerbaits, in the shad color, and was able to fish it that night. Caught 2 decent LM on it. The blades look nice in the water and my fishing partner had even made note of how he liked the different looking blade. You can really feel the added vibration in the bait thru the rod tip, so you know it's really stirrring it up underwater. It worked for me, will test it more in a tourney this weekend. BTW, that was the first time I had ordered from Megastrike, great customer service! Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 I also added a big'ol 5/o hook. The trailer keeper on the back end really secures the trailer of your choice. If you are in clearer water and just fun fishing -when the fish gets next to you -watch the head shake -keep the line tight and watch how the jointed section swivels. He has no leverage to throw that bait because the front end with all of the hardware is stable. It dosent have all of that weight to shake it free. Quote
buzzcatcher Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Not able to find them on TW! Whats up? Quote
Koop Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Bobby - I have fished these on 4 outings now and must say... well done sir, well done. The blades are very unique, I like them quite a bit. But what I really like about these is the swivel, I have landed 17 fish on these (about 12 on the same one) with a 100% hookup to landing ratio. I have yet to lose a fish from it throwing the hook. They are holding up extremely well also, very solidly built. Will you offer replacement blades at some point? Quote
Bobby Uhrig Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Yes I will. I have been throwing the blades and ha vent had any issues with the colors fading /chipping ect. They are a "Candy apple/ -candy chartreuse and candy/ blue " finish- I was throwing the White /Red in some clearer water the last few weeks. This could be a great spring spinner bait. I caught an 8 lb catfish on one last week and had no issues with the bait-that fish did the death roll about 20 times-never unhooked Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted October 2, 2009 Super User Posted October 2, 2009 Shoot!! I wish I had a few for my tournament in Texas next week. Quote
