we're barely into march and the big fish are already up shallow here in TN munching on spinnerbaits. i figure we are at least a month ahead of last year's schedule. at this rate, there will be fish trying to spawn in 2-3 weeks if the weather doesn't do anything crazy. didn't have any way to measure today, but i'd almost guarantee that water temps were high 50's. caught both of these today in less than 3 ft. of water along with plenty of other quality bass. looks like i might be taking off from work some next week. hope y'all are catchin' some too.

Beauties Paul. You caught me by surprise with that first picture. At first glance it looks like your wearing a dangling earring on your left ear. Then I looked again & realized it was the spinner bait arm & blade. LOL.

Some sweeties there. Happening in Virginia, too! Yesterday's haul was this 6lber, a bigger one thrashed and tossed my bait about 30 minutes earlier. My son and I saw that one break the water, and thrash barely out of reach of the net...

Congrats Paul,

Two early spring Hawgs - that will help shake off the winter doldrums.

Nice fish! We still have a little while to go here in Vermont. The ice is breaking up and open water will be much earlier than usual.
