Super User Raul Posted March 3, 2012 Super User Posted March 3, 2012 Weather for over a week now, man, I love the really deep South ! ( Yeah, I´m rubbing it for our closer to the North Pole members ) Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted March 3, 2012 Super User Posted March 3, 2012 Keep it...heat and fat people (me) don't like each other. 1 Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted March 3, 2012 Super User Posted March 3, 2012 I just wish we didn't have sustained winds of 20+ with gusts of 40+. If it fades off MAYBE I can get a good day on the water! Jeff Quote
Scorcher214 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Michigan's bass season doesn't start till April so, even if we did have nice weather....yaaaaaaa, I'm still jealous...All we got is soggy 40 degree days, and currently, sustained winds of 30mph. Quote

I went out to fish today. You can fish for bass but can't keep them. Regulations say that C&R season starts in April but who says that I am not fishing for Crappie and happened to catch a bass. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 3, 2012 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 3, 2012 42 degrees and raining here....for the next 10 days. Oh joy. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 3, 2012 Super User Posted March 3, 2012 You're a heck of guy - Big Lake Effect Snow here. We're about 1/2 way into what will probably add up to 20" plus over night. I'll keep you in my thoughts during Hurricane season. A-Jay Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted March 3, 2012 Super User Posted March 3, 2012 A-Jay, are you located anywhere near the Ohio River valley, or anything that eventually dumps into the Mississippi River? If so, that will reek havoc on my fishing hole, that floods with the Miss. River. Jeff Quote

But yes bass will hit crappie lures as well. A buddy of mine likes to go fishing for Northern pikes...LOL. I'm not a cold weather person.....I'll wait till April or so before I do any fishing. However it's starting to climb into the 50's by next week. Quote

I caught a hammer-handle while I was there but left after it started pouring rain. I should be out on my kayak by April. 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 3, 2012 Global Moderator Posted March 3, 2012 We've had great weather for the last couple weeks, then it snowed yesterday and is in the low 40's today with high winds. Supposed to be 70 by Monday, have to love the weather in the Midwest! Quote
