OnthePotomac Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I hit the BPS this morning to take advantage of the rod turn in and went away happy. I thought I would pick up a 6'6" MH Carbonlite to go with my other three and I did. I had also planned on getting a JM Signature Carbonlite in a 7' MH for $110 and could not believe how much heavier they are then the plain Carbonlite. In the end I went with the regular 7' Carbonlite, since I have the same rod and like it a great deal. I had thought about the Veritas, but a friend of mine who builds custom rods told me he replaces an unusually large number of line guides on them. No micro guides for now. I was impressed at how our BPS (Ashland, VA) had stocked up on rods for the program. I unloaded two 9-year old Extremes. Quote

gr8outdoorz Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Stopped by there today myself. Picked up a 6'6"M Carbonlite spinning. I have 2 Carbonlite baitcasters already (7' MH & 7'MM) and just like em. Quote
Harva Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I also picked up a 6'6"carbonlite medium micro-guide. I can't believe how light that rod feels. Looking forward to using it with my new Browning Midas. Anyone used that combination before? Quote
BradH Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 7' MH Crucial crakbait rod to pair up with my JM Carbonlite 5.4:1 I picked up on the reel sale last week. Quote
backcast88 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I traded a couple of old 2 piece Abu rods I have had for years and picked up a 6'8" medium Carbonlite to go along with my 6'6" Carbonlite. I also picked up a clearanced 6'6" medium Johhny Morris Carbon Black. Looking forward to hitting to water in the morning to put them to the test. Quote
