Josh. Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 What's up guys! So I was wondering how you guys are catching them this time of year? As a 15 year old, I don't know much about fishing lakes since I don't have my license to go all the time. I'm fishing a tournament with my old man tomorrow and it's individual weights. I would like to show him up! haha Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 3, 2012 Global Moderator Posted March 3, 2012 finesse jigs and suspending jerkbaits are my best baits right now. If I'm fishing deeper water a shakyhead with a finesse worm has been good too. It depends a lot on the the body of water you're fishing thought. Quote

smallieking Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 We had a warm winter up here in PA, ive finally found some fish in deep water. I caught them on a five inch senko wacky rig. i was using a 1/16 ounce wieghted wacky hook which cuz the bait to fall alittle bit faster than and unweighted senko. this was key... i had to really be patient and get the bait down to 20-30 feet before i got the bite. i caught 4 largemouth biggest was about 2.5lb and one smallie on it all around steep rock bluff walls in 45 feet water Quote
Josh. Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks boys!! Turns out, I won the tournament! As a 15 year old, it's so awesome! My bag weighed 17lbs and I caught a 7.01lber on a jig. Such an awesome day!! Quote

Phranchise1213 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Josh, my wife is looking at the computer screen and she is offended that you would assume that only boys go on bassresource.com Congrats on the win Quote
