One of the guys in our club turned me on to fishing these on a Mojo Rig last year. Pretty much a finesse carolina rig. Same principal as your partner's split shot rig swimming it around grass. I really got into it with alot of success last summer fishing it about anywhere. It has been very versatile for me. I use white, green pumpkin or watermelon red with equal success. For the most part I retrieve it slow and steady.

The Zoom speed worm is hands down my favorite plastic becuase of its versitility. I fish this this worm anywhere from flipping docks to carolina rig, but my all time favorite way is to burn it like a buzzbait. I don't attempt to catch fish when throwing it, but more so draw the fish out of hiding with it, then throw my favorite stick bait at them - works 50% of the time, everytime

Guys that fish a Thursday nighter weekly on Wawasee up this way wore them out on speed worms last year.

I've had some success throwing them last year in Watermelon Red. I'll honestly probably only throw the suckers in watermelon red, but that's just me

you guys rig it so the paddle/tail is parallel to the floor ??

I always have, does it kick side to side if rigged so the tail is perpendicular to the ground???

I've been using the Speed Worms for several years now. When fishing gets tough, I like to use them rigged Texas style with at least a 1/4 oz. worm weight. On/off bottom retrieve is very effective. It feels like the on/off retrieve I use when fishing blade baits. They can really turn on the fish.

I fish zoom's ultra vibe once in awhile. I slowly pull my rod sideways and pause a few seconds. Works for me. My favorite continues to be watermelon seed color.

Ok i worm fished when the only thing we had was the creme plastic worms. We would use the split shot rig into the submerged weeds. We used a large sewing needle to thread the snelled #2 hook into the lump area on the plastic worm. The color at that time was "black" and size 6".

If we look at the shoreline at night right up against the waters edge we will see freshwater eels in a dark brown/black color.

I rig the ultra speed right along the seam with the slot cut in the tail down. Colors range from watermelon to black; just fish whatever your confidence colors is. Some time fish wil show themselves and not hit it. Follow up with a senko or craw.

The ultra vibe speed worm became one of my go to baits last year. They worked great for me Texas rigged with a 3/8 peek a boo worm weight. I rig them tail down. The best method for me was to cast it out, let it sink to the bottom then reel it fairly fast a few turns of the reel handle then kill it and repeat. Most fish would crush it during a pause. I also like to burn it over the top of grass.

Fukes, speedworms, brush hogs, trick worms, Zoom makes some great plastics.

The lake fork hyper worm works well with a 3/16oz weight worked over grass.
