Knowing your budget limit would help, but if you're looking to stay around the $100 mark, maybe look for a used Avid MHF. I doubt you'll find any St. Croix users with buyers remorse on this site or anywhere else. I got a excellent condition Avid MF shipped to my door last week for $100 off Ebay. I'm sure others will chime in with suggestions if you give a firm price range.

Nice reel by the way, I recently sold my used Revo SX and experienced immediate regret when I walked out of the post office after shipping it. Good luck.

Has anyone looked at or heard anything about the Denny Brauer with American Rodsmith rods? like to stay under $200. the denny brauer flippin and pitchin rod is $179 but have not found any reviews on them.

I was just about to post that the Caras are in your price range, but $150 is a little different than $200. I haven't used the rod you're asking about, but someone else might. If you don't mind a good used rod, look around the flea market on this site, there's always deals to be made. I'd bet you could find a used Cara in your price range. Somebody here had a few Caras for sale not too long ago.

Might as well stay in the Abu family and grab a Veritas. For $100 you cant beat it, I got one last year

I would take a look at the Veritas. The Abu rods are designed to balance with the Revo line.

I have a new SX matched up with a Veritas and it is very well balanced.

Congrats on the SX. A Phenix Bass Recon would be fairly close to your price range, and it would look awesome with the SX.

The 7'2" MH-XFast Cumara...used... would be less than your $200 mark and make an excellent jig rod. If you want to keep it in the Abu family, you could check out the Villain rods. I couldn't tell you which is for jigs, tho. I did pick up a ML spinning for my light lures. Nice looking rod.

Roadwarrior likes his Perfecta, but I can't recall if the model he was talking about was for jigs.
