Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone was associated with the University of Florida bass fishing team or could help me contact them. I did a google search and a search of the UF website but couldnt find any contact info. I am leaning towards attending the school starting fall 2012 and am VERY interested in joining the club. Any help or direction would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Jason

Jason, sorry to read that you did not get accepted to Florida.

Remember you can always transfer to Florida for your sophomore year with A's and B's from an accredited college.

LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas are SEC schools with fishing teams.

I am sure I left a bunch of the SEC schools out so others reading your post can add to the list.

All you need to get into LSU is a 3.0 in your core subjects and either a 22 ACT or 1030 SAT.

It is easier to get into Mississippi State. All you have to do is know how to shovel cow manuer!!!

or you can join us down at FGCU(Florida Gulf Coast) and get to fish okeechobee every weekend and saltwater every night.

I have a 29 ACT, 3.8 GPA, an International Baccelaureate diploma candidate (AP on steroids) and 350 hrs community service. Problem is, none of it matters as i just realized i sent my application in on Nov. 9th and it was due on the first... I ended up in the 3d wave of students to be looked at and by that time they had no more space available. I feel like such an idiot.... On a brighter note, i will be fishing for RIT up here in NY and they will be sending me to some FLW events, plus, im getting free tuition. At least i KNOW i will be able to fish tournaments at RIT rather than have to compete with a ton of members just to get into a tournement in Florida. I will see how everything works out and transferring is not off the table by any means, but I am excited to go to RIT for at least the first year.
