I just wanted to share this with everyone. While walking to my fishing spot this morning, I fell and broke the "front door" of my Plano Model #1374 tackle box into two pieces. I emailed them and asked if it was possible to purchase a replacement door? I told them I fell and broke it. They are sending me a replacement door... at no cost. While I did not expect them to do that, I am grateful that they are.

I had a similar experience with plano. They have acquired the rights from Falcon to make the FTO boxes, I was having trouble with the latches breaking called them up to see if I could buy about a dozen of them to fix the broken ones and have 4 or 5 left over for spares. They said no problem and sent me 12 for free. I insisted on paying because they were older boxes before they owned them but they would not let me. This is a great company to do business with.

I had a similar experience also with Plano. I broke a tab off the lid on my plano 737 and a latch over a year after I bought it and they mailed me the parts that just snap in place at no cost. Great company to do buisness with.

Its good to know there are companies still out there like this.

I recently read a book on selling services and it gave me pointers and sales tatics. One was "great customer service is your number one salesman."

Based off this post alone I will be buying plano over other storage boxes, rhymes with Rambo....

Same story here.  I broke the door on my tacklebox and they replaced it for free.  I thought that I would have to pay the shipping, but they covered that as well.  Plano customer service is #1!!!

I started driving to the lake... I find that I'm less tired upon arrival and don't fall as often.   ;)

I had the same experience with my flipsider 3258. I opened one side of it and accidently let it get away and it cracked the see through . Contacted Plano to inquire about buying  a replacement. The girl said no problem, shipped a new one at absolutely no charge whatsoever. So then I clumsily knocked the handle off my brothers Flambeau box. Called HQ and got the same reception. New handle no questions, no charge. Two totally class acts in my humble opinion.

Believe it or not, I have 3 Plano tackle boxes. After leaving on deck over the years UV has done a number on them. So! I decided to clean, sand and repainted. They look brand new!!! I was going to trash 1 of them but now like new. Have pix of transformation! I have a 737 that needs a new top latch that I’m trying to locate. If someone can tell me where I can go to purchase, I will have yet another like brand new box. They are built like tanks and if and when I need another- you guessed it another PLANO!!!

thanks!!

And just like that another 11 year old thread comes roaring back to life!

I also fell and broke front catch on my 732.  CS sent me a replacement pair within a week.  Later the catch broke on the front panel, same thing, received a replacement within a week.  In this day and age of complacent CS, what a breath of fresh air to deal with Plano.  Listen to what you need, ship out a replacement within a week, no charge and no shipping.  Excellent CS, polite and professional.  If all companies were like this the world would be a happier place.  Shout out to Jenn.

Glad to hear you had a good experience and are getting your box fixed!
