MaineBassFishin Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm in sw Florida right now and the pond with probably about 3 acres there's pretty much no cover except for small weeds on the bottom the waters pretty stained so you can only see about a foot into it. I think it's about 10 feet deep in the center. I've been catching bass here and there but haven't found a great bait or lure to catch them on. Also the waters pretty warm probably in the mid 70s. unionman Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Try spinners with gold blades. If that doesnt work, a texas rigged worm should get some bites. Good luck. Quote

psuangler91 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I know I'm not anywhere near you geographically but I fish a pond just like that and I do well on weightless zoom trick worms, and a white spinner bait is never a bad choice. Quote

etommy28 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Those ponds can be very bait specific and I have fished most of them a lot. So if you tell me where you are or the general area I can tell you what i catch them on. but to put it simply i will use a bandit 100 in chart. and black striped, a white war eagle spinner bait, and a texas rig with a u vibe, those are normally the best.
