Anybody know anything about this fish ? I saw a pic in a thread on another forum, but the thread poster was very vague. Also saw a pic of a 6 pound Crappie that was supposedly caught on Kentucky Lake !

The 6 pound crappie is false, that picture has been floating around for 5 years or so, and it is reported to have been caught at a new lake every year!

Just talked to a friend that said 4 different people that know the guy that caught it, have confirmed that it is indeed that big. The fish is being certified and we will hear more about it in the near future.

That bass looks like it eats 6 lb crappies as snacks!

The fish is fat, but if you relate the fish to the size of his hands it doesn't look like a 16+ lb fish. I'd believe the 11 more readily, but as we all know, it's impossible to guess weight from a pic.

Picture was probably taken with something like a 14mm/20mm lens. I couldn't hazard a guess to its weight, but doubt it is as big as the picture makes it look.

Here is a pic.

The guy must have some big hands because the 3 fingers under the basses lip is as big as the guys whole head. And those same 3 fingers are about the size of the tail.
