Super User 00 mod Posted February 25, 2012 Super User Posted February 25, 2012 Welcome to the addiction! Jeff Quote
msolorio Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 thank you =D now do you guys prefer natural colors or a mix? ive seen guys throw some weird combinations of colors so just wondering. the first batch im gonna tie up are gonna be all natural color combinations. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 25, 2012 Global Moderator Posted February 25, 2012 I started out making a bunch of different colors but have since developed my favorites that I tie most of the time. I probably make less than a dozen colors but that's all I really need. It's a great way to pass the time during the winter. I have 3 Plano 3700 boxes packed to the gills with flipping and football jigs and a few chatterbaits that I've tied this winter. Quote
msolorio Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 geez i wish i had that many jigs, id never worry about losin one lol yea my color selection is less than a dozen as well. i like sticking with natural colors, browns, greens, blacks, rusty colors, and combinations of each. the only other 2 colors i use are black/blue and junebug. dont really need much more than that. Stingray23 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 sounds like something I would love to try. Where can I get all my stuff to start? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 1, 2012 Global Moderator Posted March 1, 2012 Lots of places online to get the stuff if you don't have a tackle store close by that carries the supplies. I buy some of my stuff from BPS and some from online stores. The melting pot and molds is the most expensive part. Once you get that stuff it isn't too expensive, especially if you get lead for free like I do Quote
