Super User Wayne P. Posted February 23, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 23, 2012 Note the transducer below the right transom Quote

Super User slonezp Posted February 23, 2012 Super User Posted February 23, 2012 You could attach the transducer to your powerpole and see what's underground. 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 23, 2012 Super User Posted February 23, 2012 Lowrance counters with a drain. Seriously, looks pretty cool! Quote
Sfritr Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 That is amazing technology. you could actually see your bait being retrieved like a video game. EA sports will partner with Hummingbird to make the Xbox version. LOL Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted February 23, 2012 Super User Posted February 23, 2012 Looks like an underwater version of a radar display. It is the next logical step to di and si. What I find interesting, that piques my curiosity is that the shadow of the standing timber in the lower left quadrant is twofold. The weaker, like all other sonar images is cast away from the center of the display, while a bolder shadow is cast toward the top of the display, as though the signal was generated from the bottom of the image rather than the center. Looking at the image again, there is a third "shadow" halfway between the other two. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Now that is cool for a DI unit! Quote
Pete-K Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 You buy this at MSRP $1,999.00 and download the update for the older units and your set. Not sure where these guys are going to put this. That has a power poles on the back LOL Quote

Brian Needham Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Cabelas has it in their on-line catalog: http://www.cabelas.c...r:referralID=NA wayne with the lakes we fish..........how long would it take a stump to rip that thing off, LOL Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted February 23, 2012 Author Super User Posted February 23, 2012 wayne with the lakes we fish..........how long would it take a stump to rip that thing off, LOL Not long, I would guess. I'll wait for a trolling motor transducer version before I would ever consider it. I have one of my SI transducers on a breakaway mount that it gets tripped several times a day. Quote

I have one of my SI transducers on a breakaway mount that it gets tripped several times a day. Can you please post pictures. I have the terrova trolling motor and since the transducer doesn't work wit di/si I do not have the graphs. If I could figure a nice way to make a mount like yours for up front it would end up costing me around $1500. Jeff Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted February 23, 2012 Super User Posted February 23, 2012 Crap -- I was really hoping for above-water imaging. I think there's a huge market for this. Imagine how productive your fishing would be if the fisherman could also see ABOVE the water! 1 Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted February 23, 2012 Super User Posted February 23, 2012 I got an email from Humminbird on this today. Like Wayne P, I will be more interested in this when/if they offer a TM transducer...or at least some sort of stand-alone transducer that gives some mounting options. I don't want to put this big pole contraption on my canoe... Quote
jkarol24 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I dont see why this wouldnt work mounted on trolling motor. As long as it is lower than the bottom of the hull, it should work... Their current mount pole thing looks like the perfect target for underwater wood and such. I bet they are going to make alot of $$ from people having to replace the ducers they have broken off! Quote
Nick Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Another expensive load of crap for the gullible. Quote

That has a power poles on the back LOL They are making a bracket that will hold both a 360 and a Talon at the same time. Don't quote me but I don't know if the power pole and talon brackets are compatible? 1 Quote
