The bluegill looks alive !!!!!!!! Dude, you have a real talent, I've seen phto finished lures were they put actual pictures of the fish onto the bait and they didn't look as real as your bluegill. You shad patterns are amazing as well as the rest but I have a soft spot for natural finishes and you make Lucky Craft lures look like they were painted by a 5 year old with crayons, simply amazing!!!!

I the shad and bluegill patterns are both photo finished if i'm not mistaking? Big Bass Man has just perfected it and can shoot some awesome jobs to go with a beautiful photo finish on top of that. Very amazing skill level!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys!! The shads and the gill are photofinished. Lots of trial, error and Practice Practice and more Practice to get where I am at with them Today!!! I have to give all the credit to my good friend Husky on TU for willingly sharing the tutorial with others. He is a great guy with tons of talent on lure building/painting.

Jigfishin, You should have saw some of my early paintings!! Lol

BigBassMan- what process do you lay your paint and photo finish with? Do you spray top and bottom then apply finish or apply paint after the finish.

Was also wondering, if you were to take your shad baits and throw a chartruese splatter down the back, would you apply that directly to the foiled picture, or would you put a coat of clear on first, then apply another clear over paint?

I've just started painting, but I've got so many ideas- just want to be able to get my ideas across in the right way!

These look too good to through into the water, I think I'd feel sick if I lost one. Outstanding work.

Can you explain what a photo finish is? I've never made cranks before.

Cheers, E

Does the photo finish affect the action of the bait?

It doesn't affect namebrands or custom baits at all. Not sure on knockoffs, as I am not a fan of them.
