Super User Lund Explorer Posted February 21, 2012 Super User Posted February 21, 2012 After all of the threads dealing with guys trying to get into shape, diets, etc., I figure we should give equal time to those goodies we all love. For myself and many others in The Mitten, the Polish pastry called a Paczki is a can't miss today. #1 selling brand is filled with prunes, but I have better luck with the blueberry or raspberry type. So what's your poison? Quote
Super User grimlin Posted February 21, 2012 Super User Posted February 21, 2012 Oh man,I forgot about Fat Tuesday...I die for the cream filled Paczki. Quote

Super User Sam Posted February 22, 2012 Super User Posted February 22, 2012 Mardi Gras King Cakes are outstanding. Randazzo's King Cakes are out of this world. Roast Beef Poboys or Oyster Loafs are also wonderful. Fresh caught fried catfish filets are a can't miss meal. Gumbo. Shrimp and crab meat gumbo. Now that's living. Redfish Courtboullion. Its heaven. Out of sight. Speckled trout topped with crabmeat. Boiled Louisiana Jimmy crabs. And last, but not least, CRAWFISH! Those little mudbugs are great. Can't wait for our LSU crawfish boil on May 5th. I will eat about 10 pounds by myself. Does anyone have a wheelbarrow to get me to my car??? Quote
