The Guy Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Hey I need a little help, I recently got 2 bagley balsa b's on ebay with no package but they look unfished. Each of the lures has two line ties that are attached to the nose of the lure. After looking around online I have not seen a b2 or b3 like these; Are they older or was this an after market mod? Thank you for your help Quote
Stringjam Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Those are real Bagleys......that was a short lived gimmick I believe they came out with sometime in the 80s(?). They generally aren't regarded very highly among Bagley enthusiasts, so they tend not to sell very well. Quote
The Guy Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Thanks for the fast reply is there any difference other than the line ties. Does the running depth change depending on what line tie you pick? Quote

Super User Jeff H Posted September 17, 2009 Super User Posted September 17, 2009 I have one of these, bought it new off the shelf 2-3 yrs ago(must have been hanging there awhile)!. Am I wrong to notice more difference in the body roll than depth when changing line tie position? I haven't used it much and have yet to catch a decent fish on it, maybe next year! Quote

No, you aren't wrong.....line-tie position has a pivotal role in determining crankbait action. On a bait like the B2, raising the tie up the nose tends to tighten up the bait. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I have several of them, don't know when they came out, but I got mine at Gander a couple of years ago in a Bagley promotional bin along with a ton of Fat Cats... I really like using the double line tie, especially right about now at the beginning of Autumn. Quote
Willzx225 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I bought a few of those from BPS in the mid 90's. I have done fair with them but not amazing. Quote
