Plastic baits. I estimate I'm up to about twenty pounds. Last year I stocked up on Senko style baits when I found a place that sold them at a disgustingly low price-I don't see myself ever needing to buy another one. I think I bought half the store(Sportsmanswharehouse) when it went out of business in my town.

I just threw my plastics bag on the bathroom scale:19lbs. :)I probably have another couple of lbs. of "active" stuff in my main bag. If I had everything I think I need, I would probably have> 50lbs total-maybe 100-who knows? :;) Another question is how much money is invested in plastics? To paraphrase the colonel in "A Few Good Men" I can't handle the truth?! ;D

Well, you made me curious. I have no idea how many total bags of plastics I have, But this category is definitely where I have spent the bulk of my tackle money. For the past year, I've been addicted to using Rage Tails, and so I figured I'd count the bags. Right now I have 117 unopened bags of Rage Tail baits alone, not to mention 2 Plano 3700 tackle boxes of Rage baits in my boat, and 2 more 3700's full of 'em in my Jeep. As for all the other stuff, probably another 200-250 bags of other stuff like Senkos, Power worms, Brush Hogs, Sweet Beavers, and countless craw trailers. Too much, really.

I think we may have a winner.  ;D

CWB has enough plastics that if he puts them all in his boat water will breach it  ;D

Wow, this thread makes me feel like more of an amateur than I thought I was. I have 6 bags, plus some random grubs that were given to me. I will expand my collection more in the future I'm sure. I've been buying a lot of cranks lately since those have been the only thing working consistently.

not all what i want though... ive been lucky enough(?) that both boaters wold and sportsmans warehouse went out of business in my town so i got about 500 dollars worth of stuff for around 200. id estimate probably 30lbs.

bunch of stuff i dont care about though... some of it given to me.

I would guess that myself or Aluring would have more  ;) I wouldnt even know how to weight it all. Of course I am cheating becuase most of it is not for personal use But I bet I still got over 100lbs of baits for my own use. I use a lot of soft plastic swimbaits in saltwater.

Are you gonna make some good saltwater swimbaits soon?

I have been making saltwater swimbaits for about 20 years. That is how I learnd how to make baits. I just dont sell them. Maybe someday I will.

The whole reason I got into bait making was I was going through way to many saltwater swimbait and it was getting too expencive. !
