I have had luck all three times I have been to Sardis in the past 2 months. I go to the spillway on the lower lake. Nice bass are right along the rocks on both sides where it widens out.

Are there any additional ponds in the greater Memphis area that I can add to the fishing list? I'm also not sure as to the location of Daycare Pond and Church House pond. Which of the locations above are producing good fish?

I'm assuming that Neshoba Park is the one behind Chick-fil-A in Germantown, if so, I caught a 4 pounder out of there yesterday, September 12th. Not the one with the walking trail, the one they don't cut the grass around.

So where is the church house pond?

I live in midtown, any leads on places that might be good not so far away? Sometimes I have only an hour or so to fish.

Anyone ever fish off of Humphreys north of Walnut Grove? Or any of the bar pits along 385?

Ha! I'll be dead and buried before I call it Hyde Lake. From what I understand they were going to wait several years after the lake reopened before they were going to allow fishing there. 

As far as Shelby Farms fishing goes, I like the three eastern most ponds in the leash-free dog area. They seem to be the least fished. I once fished the pond near the corner of Mullins Station and Farm Road without much luck. I'm going to hit it again one day, but it's not easy to get to, and even harder to walk around, and it's kinda far to drag my kayak.

I haven't fished Beaver Lake in 20+ years, but I have to assume it's heavily fished.

All the shelby park lakes get hammered.  Its close to the house so i am out there a bunch, and there are always other people on the bank while i am there.  The dog park is my stomping ground, and the only real fish i have caught in the park.  The beaver pond behind the stables has fish but i have only ever caught dinks out of there and lots of the bucket patrol hauling fish out of that pond.  Found a huge pond called the blue lagoon but despite the 4 trips i have made, i have skunked every time.  Rumor is there are good fish in there, and i could believe it based on the size of the water, i may and try to get my yak in there and see how that goes.

It's between the Texas Gas pipeline and the Methodist Sutherland Cardiology clinic. I parked at the clinic by the dumpster and walked straight over. There is detritus everywhere, lumber scraps, lawn chairs, and other things you would typically see on the bank of the Wolf River. I fished the south and east side with not much luck, then on the north side just about dark I I finally caught a nice 3 pounder on a chatterbait. It was as if God just gave it to me... after fishing in the rain for a couple of hours, I probably looked like a drowned raccoon.

If it's the one beside youth lake I went 2 weeks ago and caught one over 3lb in midday heat on brush jig

I sure am ready for the cooler weather. I caught this 4lber during the cold spell we had about 2 weeks ago. Caught in Lakeland on a private lake/pond that my buddy lives by and has access to.

Hey Pond hoppers, I've been out on dry land for too long!! hope everybody's been having good times catching big ones! So has anyone ever been fishing out on Horseshoe lake, in Arkansas? My 14 ft John boats is out there &I 've been fishing 3 times, but striking out every time! So my question for all you Hoppers is, does anybody know anything about Horseshoe Lake and catching any kind of fish out there? It's absolutely beautiful there. The cypress trees are amazing and super fun to drive the boat through. Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciative I'm thinking about heading out there Sunday afternoon... Hope to hear from you all!!

Lowe's pond 10/10/2018 late afternoon.

This guy, he was really really angry. He grabbed my wing ding as I was pulling it out of the water, just about to think this is BS I got to tie some other lure on this isn't working. Wasn't jigging it, just pulling it out like I was disgusted. Dude jumps out of the water grabbed it before I could realize what was going on. Ran under my kayak, snagged a treble hook from my other rod, and was darting around like he was on angel dust or something. Anyway that was fun. I only caught 3 and they were all angry.

8 friggin pounds!

New personal best. I had one break off at 9am that must have been a similar size. I was about to turn in, 5 hours in a kayak will wear you out, but I really wanted my 6th Sense Hybrid swimjig back. In total I had 2 break my line. I've always used Stren low-vis green 14lb test, but I'm considering giving braided line another go. I've tried it before with no results, and all the while a little voice in my head saying "they can see it!"...

So I guess I'll have to get over that, I have learning to do.

Finally had weather and work schedule cooperating together for me this morning. Caught 3 in about 90 minutes on two different bodies of water. 

 

I finally dropped in on a place I’ve driven by a million times off Poplar headed toward Piperton. I’ve always noticed a spillway/channel behind some office buildings, but never stopped by. Fished it a bit and came up on the pond that sources the spillover. I caught a dink in the channel and a healthy 2 pounder off the rocks by the drainage off the pond. 

 

No idea if this pond is named or what. 

 

 

Red: main pond

Yellow: channel

Blue: office parking(didn’t see any signs saying no parking)

 

Footnote: Snakes are still hanging around despite this current weather. Saw about a 3-4 foot moccasin or brown water snake go up under the rocks when I created the hill to the main pond.

Anyone been out recently? This weather killed my drive, plus it’s busy season at work. Looking at past memories on Facebook, I was wading in Johnson Brush Pond this time last year. Completely missed the Fall bite this year.

Shakeyhead and Ned rig have been my main producers recently. I’ve also caught a few on both dropshot and chatter bait.
