To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!

Anyone been fishing the daycare pond recently and having luck? Im going to stop by there when i get off work in a few hours

Nothing fancy or big, but the Grove gave me this little nicely marked/colored crappie today(hit on a crankbait).

Yea I'll be around.  Had the best numbers day ever today.  28 landed and I left still catching because my son had a sleepover skeduled and I was already an hour late.  Biggest went 3lb 5 oz with lots of pounders mixed in.

Hey guys, this is an awesome thread! Some great fish you should be really proud of. I'm an Aussie avid bass fisherman and fish all my local areas over here for our native Australian Bass. I'm heading over to Memphis in may for the BBQ comp as part of a team. I hope to get some fishing done when I'm in that great part of your country. Would any of you great fishos be keen on taking me out for a fish so I can try a tick some of your guys species off my bucket list. As you know local knowledge goes a long way and my time here is very short (1 week) so I don't have the time I usually would to sus out a good spot. Any help would be greatly appreciated! in downtown Memphis for things you can take home.  For our outing I will have everything you

might need.

Solid day at Johnson-fountains. The biggest was 4.5lbs. The rest were in the 2.5-3lb range.

Thanks mate I will be definitely be buying some tackle over there, you guys get new lures and toys years ahead of us over here. Lol. Where I live we just had massive floods that have destroyed half of the town ( Lismore NSW) and as I'm a sparkie (electrician) I've been out for the last week and a bit getting power back on for folks for free. I can't wait to go fishing over there, what species can I expect to catch around Memphis? Large mouth bass? Crappie?

You could catch both, but we will be fishing for largemouth bass.

Man I wanna come fish with you guys.  I got to fish with Dan at Beech as your temp.  Man I wanted and tried to get him on a fish but they just wouldn't cooperate.  Also at Pickwick your more than welcome to come fish with me for a day. My buddy Jeff said he wouldnt mind going out with someone else for a day too.  To help us learn more of the lake.

Dang, you're catching some nice ones. I didn't even make it over to Cville on Sunday. My uncle backed out on me due to some family stuff.

It was the best day I've ever had there size and numbers wise. Caught all 3 in about an hour. Didn't get another bite over the course of the next 90 minutes.

I can fish some evenings but mostly on weekends.  It all depends on if there are any honey do's around the house when I get home.  As to Pickwick I was talking about the trip at the end of the month.

Very generous roadwarrior! What's the weather like over there in may? Do you guys find it's a good time of year for bass? If it's like over here late arfternoon in summer is heaps of fun, we don't lose light until after 7:30pm and the surface action is awesome fun! Do you guys get many on surface? This is the first bass I got off the top with a Halco Night Walker in H52 Fluoro Green. Caught heaps since and it's probably my favourite way. They make a huge boof sound when they take it from the surface and then you know your alive ?
