I've only caught one bass in over a month, it was at Epping Lake. it was a nice 3 or 4 pounder. I was catching bass in November with Rattletraps, but I caught this one with a spinnerbait i bought at Walmart with this awesome gold oversized willow blade. I may buy more.

I saw where someone mentioned the pond by the autobahn speedway, drive by after work and there are a few no fishing signs , does anyone actually care enough to run a fisherman off?l or is it not worth worrying about? Seemed like a security guard patrolled the parking lot all day at autobahn but on the other side that business didnt have one. Will never understand what all these people have against people fishing

After checking out the pyramid Bass Pro and eating some chicken at Gus's.We fished the large pond behind Chick-Fil-a for about 2 hours today. The Water was muddier then I expected. But that's pretty normal conditions for my part of Ohio.My son threw a ned rig and Texas rigged craw bait..I threw a jig, square bill, and swim bait. Not a bite.Nice looking pond but for some reason they just weren't hungry today. You guys have a pretty cool city. Thanks for the help and Goodluck this season.

I was out there yesterday and had the same results. Talked to another gentleman and he was striking out as well.

The Wolf River runs right behind that area and has a tendency to run high enough to flood out those ponds during periods of heavy rains.

Hey guys, I work in Memphis but live in Texas (for now).  I end up with a lot of down time and choose to go pond hopping instead of sitting and staring at the walls.  I’ve fished the Collierville Civic Center with moderate luck... they were bedding and could be site casted.  And I have fished Central Park in Southaven... managed not to get skunked by tossing a Ned Rig.

As they are all post spawn and summer is coming on in full force, what are your guys recommendations for area lakes and techniques to find those sluggish summer fish?  I considered a saltwater shore rod, to get that extra distance on civic center lake, lol.

Hey everyone, new to the boards.  Got a question regarding the ponds along the Greenway on Humphrey's...anyone had any luck with those?  I noticed this little one that has some good access but not sure if there are any bass.

If you have any advice or info on any of those along there as I work at Poplar and Kirby and can get to these quickly during lunch break.

There are bass in all of the ponds, but be careful especially right now. The  flooding

brings a lot of snakes to these waters.

Been fishing dark Ned rigs and white swim jigs with good success at the Neshoba pond.   Also that nearby apartment complex with 4 ponds running through it.   Had a nice day with a 4” kietex using an under spinner jig head.  Plan to try a shaky head rig in a week or so...  I like trying new-to-me baits

So I'm extremely new to bass fishing and haven't a clue on how to catch some BIG ONES (anything over 3 lbs) it would be greatly appreciated to have some guidance in where I should go what lures I should use. I live in Bartlett and I want to catch some good size fish.  Thank in advance

Well, Shelby County is under emergency protocol. That means "essential travel" only.

I don't believe fishing is exempt.

I can't think of a better activity at the present than hitting up a local pond. Gonna check out some of the water around Shelby Farms this afternoon.

Glenn Springs was open and packed this past Sunday, couldn’t hardly park. Also went to Glenn View. Weekend before was Herb Parsons but it wasn’t very busy So what kinda hot spots are here in Memphis? I honestly have only been to Glenn Springs, Herb Parsons, and Wolf River Park pond hopping once. I’m up in Tipton County, would be fun to meet up one day and fish a little!
