craww Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Gotta deal on some spiderwire stealth in 30lb a few years back. Its been great. Still has its color, casts smooth and no dig in issues. Power pro, stren, and regular suffix have been good to me also. You'll find most braids are very similar when comes to actual performance when fishing. Quote

I haver found that it breaks down pretty quick, especially the first three feet from the bait. I used some Tuff Line Braid a few days back and was surprised that it showed no signs of breakdown after three days of heavy use. Quote

PowerPro Super 8 Slick has better qualities than both, and Kanzen is better than S8S. Saying they're the best on the market is entirely subjective. They're good, but they're not at the top of the food chain anymore. Quote

jkarol24 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I have tried a few brands, but i keep finding myself going back to the good ol' green power pro. I actually enjoy the rougher feel of it as i think i can control the line/ spool a bit better while say sufix 832 slips too easily from under my thumb. As well, the first yard of that 832 breaks down too fast. Decent otherwise, but i'd rather not pay $10 more for it, and then have to cut off at least a yard after each trip. Quote
